If you like unusual car and track combinations, this week’s new set of GT Sport Daily Races will be right up your street. Choices for the next seven days include a classic supercar, some extreme speed, and even the weather gets involved.
Race A sends you to the Mediterranean island of Sardinia — or Sardegna in its native tongue — for a six-lap race of one of the fictional circuits in the game. Sardegna Road Track C is the shortest of the three layouts, but it packs in plenty of action with a tight and twisty return section hemmed in by unforgiving walls.
Your car for this week isn’t exactly the most suitable vehicle for threading down this piece of track, as it’s just as wild as it is wide. The 25th anniversary model of the Lamborghini Countach is the provided ride, so you’ll want to take some brave pills.
The fastest car class in the game comes in Race C, with players allowed to choose from any of the Gr.1 machines. These are broadly equivalent to the top category of international sports car endurance racing across the last 30 years, with a few interpretative Vision Gran Turismo models for good measure.
They’ll be heading to the “temple of speed”: Italy’s Monza circuit. There’s no complicated tire requirements this week, so it’s just a case of strapping on a set of Racing Medium tires and banging out 12 laps. However the 8x tire wear multiplier — so one lap is equivalent to eight for your tires — will make them feel distinctly second-hand by the end.
Race B is the odd man out this week, though from the thumbnail it looks fairly standard fare. A seven-lap race around the Red Bull Ring Short Track in Gr.4 cars doesn’t look all that unusual, if a little short.
The small lap count reflects the conditions, as the race is a rare rain event. You’ll be driving on a soaking wet Styrian circuit, so you’ll be battling the weather as much as the 15 other cars on track. Of course Gr.4 has a small selection of 4WD cars, which will probably be the weapons of choice this week, and both full wet and intermediate tires are available — though inters are an unwise choice.
These three races will run through to Monday August 16, when another set will replace them.

Good choices
The selection of these track must be for PS4 users since their systems cannot keep up with the demand and slow framerates.
No skill required tracks. Boring.
If the races were all at Northern Isle, I would agree with you. But they’re not. So shush.
So you’re telling me that driving around in the wet isn’t a skill?
Mais competições com chuva seria bom !!! Mais competições de rali pistas de neve .
Bored to death of this game.Gone backwards to gt6.
Boring races an circuits
I love rain.
I’ve been doing the Gr.1 Monza races last night. Considering that wet races are uncommon, I’l give this one a go. Guess it’s time to buy the Veyron Gr.4
The two meta cars seem to be the Mitsubishi and the Subaru, at least if the Oceania Top 10 are to be believed.
