GT Sport players went without any new content in June. While Update 1.21 made way towards the end of the month, it primarily focused on the FIA Championship.
The last major update for the game arrived at the end of May. Since then, fans have grown a little weary without any new toys to play with. Luckily, a tweet from Kazunori Yamauchi has put an end to the dry spell, and with a date to boot.
The image, as you’ll soon lay eyes on, confirms the update will arrive on July 30 — just a tad over one week’s time.

The teaser image is the usual affair of vehicle silhouettes that has already sent our community into a craze. Seven new vehicles are coming to the game in the next update, and some are easier to identify than others. Let’s address the obvious right off the bat: the eagle-eyed will notice the very familiar 787B.
Beyond that, there’s the fantastic Ferrari 250 GTO which is sure to be a hit, both on the track and in photomode. There’s also an open-wheel racing car — perhaps a returning Formula GT? We’ll leave the rest for you to ponder.

Like the updates before it, a new track will feature in the update as revealed earlier this month. The new track is set in Southern France, and is yet another feature that has our community buzzing. Also set to feature in the update is the option to customize driver gear.
This looks to be one of the most significant updates to the game yet. We’re willing to bet there’s a little more in store for the update, and there’s only a few more days until it lands.
Keep an eye peeled to GTPlanet for more on the update as it’s available.
