If you’ve been playing GT Sport from day one, you probably won’t have missed that the Daily Races in Sport Mode were anything but daily.
Despite pre-release news stating that “event contents will be updated every day”, players in the first ten days found not much evidence of this coming to pass.
The first round of events seemed to go on for an entire week, with the only shake-up coming in the form of a fixed-vehicle event — after players found that detuning higher-class cars meant much faster laps. A second set of events persisted for just as long.
Well, Halloween has changed this trick into a treat, with a change to the trio of trials as the clock strikes twelve each night. Yes, according to an in-game announcement, the dailies have gone daily:
“From October 31, we will be updating the Daily Race event content every day. We also plan on adding long distance events into the mix to provide more fun content for our players.”
Players haven’t greeted it with universal joy however. Some enjoyed having the ability to get a few practice runs in and zero in on the perfect tune for an event. The switch means that for those of us who only get a couple of hours’ game time of an evening there’s no planning ahead. And of course players are more prone to damaging their — and others — Sportsmanship Rating through errors caused by unfamiliarity.
However, should you not like the events on offer on one day, you no longer need to sit out for a week until they refresh.
