Tickets for the Gran Turismo World Series Showdown in Amsterdam are now available to the public, with a variety of passes available, and a special package that includes a screening of the Gran Turismo movie.
The event will take place across the Friday and Saturday of August 11 and 12, with the action centered on the waterfront Theater Amsterdam venue. This boasts a 45,000 square-foot auditorium and access by car, bike, public transport, and — unusually — boat, as the theater overlooks the IJ river.
General Admission tickets for the event are priced at €15 for either day, or €40 for a “Gold” pass to a single day which includes a special Gran Turismo event t-shirt and early day access to view special events that take place each day.
That will include a special Gran Turismo Sophy demonstration run ahead of the Manufacturers Cup on August 11, or the always enthralling Pro-Am Media race before the Nations Cup on August 12.
In addition there’s a full weekend “Platinum” pass, priced at €90, which includes all of the racing and the exclusive t-shirt along with a special advance showing of the Gran Turismo movie on the evening of Thursday August 10.
The screening will take place at the 1400-seat Pathe Koninklijk Theater Tuschinski and, along with being a first opportunity for members of the public to see the movie, will feature a presentation by series creator Kazunori Yamauchi about the story that inspired the film.
You can purchase the Platinum tickets right now through the event’s special page on the Gran Turismo website, with Gold and GA tickets becoming available on Monday June 19.
