A new bonus campaign launches this week in Gran Turismo 7, awarding players with in-game goodies for the simple act of logging into the game.
Technically made up of two separate periods, the Holiday Season Login Campaign will gift up to ten prizes in total, made up of credit tickets, standard Roulette tickets, and specific Parts and Engine Roulette tickets.
All you need to do to receive the gifts is log into Gran Turismo 7 and visit the World Map at any time during the two qualifying periods. You’ll receive one per day you log in, up to a maximum of five in each ten-day period.
The prizes increase in value (or usefulness) with each successive login, with the example shown giving a Six-Star Roulette ticket for Parts, a 100,000cr ticket, a Six-Star Roulette ticket for Engines, a Five-Star Roulette ticket, and finally a 250,000cr ticket.
Of course the nature of the Roulette tickets mean that a prize value is pretty much up to chance; you may receive vehicle parts or an engine that isn’t of specific use to you, but there’s around a 50% chance that the standard Five-Star ticket will give you a 100,000cr or 500,000cr reward.
The logins need not be consecutive in order to collect the rewards, just requiring that you hit the World Map on five separate days — at a server-side time like much of the game rather than by your console clock as with the Weekly Challenges, so changing your console time won’t help! — during the two windows.
Your first reward will be available at 0000 UTC on Friday December 15, with the “Holiday Season Login” campaign running from then until 2359 UTC on Monday December 25. The “New Years Login” campaign follows, from 0000 UTC on Tuesday December 26 until 2359 UTC on Sunday January 7 2024.
Additionally, all players will receive a special Six-Star Roulette ticket for Cars during the post-Christmas period to mark the impending shutdown of Gran Turismo Sport.
This will be sent as a gift automatically between 0000 UTC on Monday December 25 and 2359 UTC on Sunday January 31 2024. Again, the actual reward behind the ticket is determined by the game’s internal machinations, but this new ticket type — introduced in v1.40/Spec II — appears to gift cars with seven-figure values.
