It’s finally time: Gran Turismo 7 is almost here. That means that GTPlanet’s GT7 subforums will shift from discussing the upcoming game and towards becoming a resource for the millions of players around the world. With that in mind, we’ve opened new subforums within the GT7 section to help players with specific game functions and organize their own events.
Unless you were one of the lucky few that Amazon graced with a monumental timing failure and it’s already in your hands, GT7 will land officially at midnight in your local timezone. At that point, all the players who pre-loaded their digital downloads will be booting up into a new GT game for the first time in more than four years — while those with disc copies will be waiting by their postbox.
Of course the core GT7 forum, officially opened in May 2020, will be the main hub for players looking for help, hints, tips, and moneymaking glitches, but the subforums serve a vital purpose in looking for specific information about various game modes.
As with the GT Sport forums, we’ve created dedicated areas for discussing tuning, photo mode, the livery editor, and — naturally — online racing. These are the four key areas people coming to GTPlanet with GT7 questions will head, particularly with the expansion of and changes to these features.
Vehicle tuning returns to GT7 with the full breadth of options previously available in GT6, and more besides. The Tuning subforum will be home to all the people who know how to tweak every possible option to get the most out of your cars.
With more than 2,500 Scapes locations, GT7’s photography possibilities are even wider than before. You’ll find GTPlanet’s shutterbugs in the Photo Mode & Scapes subforum, and it’ll be the ideal place to show off your own photography too.
The livery editor was probably the most popular new feature in GT Sport and it returns for GT7. Players addicted to making liveries of all kinds will be spending most of their time in the Car Liveries & Livery Editor subforum, but more importantly you’ll also find helpful souls who’ll convert SVG files for you to upload your own decals.
Finally there’s the Leagues and Online Racing forum, which will encompass all aspects of player-organized online racing. If you’re looking to join in with private events, lobbies, one-off races and GTPlanet’s own official Weekly Race Series events, this is the place to look.
The forums are all open now, ahead of the official GT7 launch at midnight local time on March 4 in each region. You can keep up with everything we know with our Ultimate Guide to Gran Turismo 7.
