In our last installment of Track of the Week, we were introduced to King’s Pass: a short, quick track perfect for racing in cars both slow and fast. This week, we’ve got one of the longest tracks to be featured, at a hair under 10km.

This particular Black Forest comes to us care of community member eran0004, who has been featured in TOTW on numerous occasions. Given the name, it seemed only appropriate to bring along a similarly-hued ride to tackle the loop, and so the photogenic BMW Z8 serves as the sighting car. With a lightly breathed-upon V8 pushing out 480hp, a lap takes just under 3:30 to complete, putting the average speed at nearly 3km per minute, or over 100mph!
A fast lap here is all about precision, with a pilot capable of nailing apexes without bleeding off too much speed. There’s almost a complete lack of rumble strips too, so you’ll need to take care when dropping a wheel over the white lines. The red-and-whites show up around two minutes in at the first seriously tight turn of the lap, made all the more difficult by a curved, downhill braking zone.
Schwarzwaldschleife really nails the baby-Nürburgring feel, like the Fuchsröhre (Fox Hole) section has been stretched into an entire circuit of its own. As with the German circuit, eran0004’s creation may not be the best location for a full grid race due to the narrowness, but the road serves as an excellent challenge for drivers, crafted in the old-school mould that modern circuits just can’t quite match.
If all of this sounds like your type of track, you can grab Schwarzwaldschleife up top.
That’s not all on the Track of the Week front. Voting is now open to select TOTW 32, and the submission thread for Week 33 has gone live as well. Head on over to the forum threads below to find out how you can take part:

Congrats Eran – looking forward to trying this new track.
Indeed. He’s evidently quite the GT Planet track architect.
I haven’t taken the time to gran any of these tracks yet, but from these videos, it looks like I should. They are all very well laid out, and makes me anxious to see something even better in GT7. If we can just get through the next year to three quickly… ;D
