For the third successive year, viewers who tune into the Gran Turismo World Series live streams in 2024 will have the opportunity to win in-game prizes — beginning with next month’s event in Montreal.
The special promotion will return in a familiar format, bringing both the Viewers Gift campaign and the Predict the Winners campaign to the Montreal event in what looks like a repeat of the 2023 version.
That means that if you took part in last year’s campaigns you should know what to expect from the two different promotions, one of which is slightly more involved than the other.
We’re pretty sure that either way you’ll be able to guess what the “Predict the Winners” competition entails. You’ll need to employ your powers of prognostication and guess which of the drivers will come out on top in each of the two competitions: the Nations Cup and the Manufacturers Cup.
In each case there’s 12 drivers from which to choose, comprising the 12 best qualifiers globally in the Nations Cup and (with one exception due to visa issues) the best players from the Americas for the top 12 brands in the Manufacturers Cup.
To make your selection you should go into the special tab in Gran Turismo 7 and pick a driver from each event. You don’t have to do so right away though, as you can make your choices right up until the final race starts in each event. They’ll be a 30-lap race of Interlagos in the Gr.3 cars for Manufacturers and a 35-lap race of Road Atlanta in X2019s for Nations, so choose wisely.
For each selection you get correct you’ll earn 1,000,000cr, delivered as a gift ticket to your in-game garage on Monday July 8. That means a maximum of 2,000,000cr is available in Montreal — and we’d imagine similar promotions will run for Prague, Tokyo, and the final too.
Additionally, there’s rewards available for just tuning into the event through an in-game tile too in the Viewers Gift campaign. For this, all you need to do is click through “Watch Stream” on the special section in Gran Turismo 7 and — whether you watch any of it or not — you’ll be awarded the prizes.
You’ll actually have slightly longer to do this too, as anyone who clicks on it at any time up to 0059 UTC on Tuesday July 16 will receive the prizes. However only players who watch before July 8 will receive the rewards on the Monday after the event; those who watch later will have to wait longer.
Those who watch the Manufacturers Cup stream will pick up the rare and valuable Six-Star Roulette (Car) Ticket, while there’s a regular Six-Star Roulette Ticket for watching the Nations Cup stream.
The streams begin at 2100 UTC and 2330 UTC respectively on Saturday July 6, live from Montreal.
