Despite the strides made with Project CARS’s extensive dynamic weather system, Slightly Mad Studios are hard at work improving the effects and making them appear more convincing than they already are. The improved effects, to be released in a future update, will feature full physics-based rain droplet movement.

The improved effects are currently being optimized so there is no adverse effect on the performance of the game across all platforms.

So, it’s no very dynamic.
The animation on the windshield is not very dynamic. The weather itself is fully dynamic and on pc, real-time weather is an option.
The rain did exactly the same movement (sprite) with each beat wipers.
Are they talking about the actual rain effects on the windshield? Or are they talking about the fake rain-effect that smears water across the entire screen for no reason other than someone thinking it “looks cool? (Thank goodness that can be turned off, ugh!)
The effects on the windscreen.
Good, now they only have to make the entire rest of the game better.
Great news and what a nice surprise. Didn’t expect them to do this at all.
Noiiice.
Wow, great news. Wasn’t expecting this. Possibly moving up to DriveClub quality rain effects, the current standard for racing games.
The Biggest issue for me is that there almost NO TYRE SOUND in turns ! If only we could increase that in audio settings …
They are there, listen harder. Maybe they are not screaming in your ear like in gt6 but they are there.
I did, but tyres sounds are too low, even if when i decrease motor audio level… It’s too low to drive at the limit and use it for keeping the car in the limit, like GT6 does (GT6 is maybe too loud at this point).
I’ve tested the Renault Megane and it’s very hard to ear the tyre sound, if you watch a nurburgring on board lap you can ear the tyres sound clearly.
Have to agree with oneloops here. Tire sounds should be adjustable in a sim like this so we can tailor our auditory experience along with everything else.
Turn HHHHaarder, yo.
I agree with Oneloop 100%. Yes I’m not deaf and I do listen carefully. There is tire sound but very very low. We should be able to turn the sound louder or lower.
When you drive a real car if the car skids or when you burn out you definitely can hear the tire sound you don’t have to listen care fully to hear the tire sound. They should fix that first. Rain drop is nice to fix/improve but the tire sound should be higher on the list.

Before they make it look prettier, they should sort out the issues they have already first !
I hope they also improve the Rain Drops effect on the screen, as they don’t look anywhere near as good as the competition!
