From the makers of rbr-online.it, gRally is a work-in-progress racing simulator that has been in development for over six years. Now, the eight-man indie team hopes to make it big with a Steam Greenlight listing, following their “#DreamExperienceBelieve” slogan.
According to the game’s official website, gRally plans on delivering one of the most realistic driving experiences, due to its advanced physics and tire model. Rally cars from 1970 all the way to 1990 will be recreated, while simulating numerous types of surfaces and weather as accurate as possible with a full day to night cycle.
gRally allows for up to 60 players to participate in a realistic rally weekend at the same time. Before starting the stage, drivers can do a reconnaissance to modify their pacenotes on the fly for racers trying to achieve the fastest time.
The game also boasts itself as being fully moddable and compatible with the latest technologies such as virtual reality, TrackIR, and multiscreen setups. Many popular steering wheels along with home-made devices will work with gRally.
For those who do not know how Steam Greenlight operates, it is quite simple. Game developers upload information and media and attempt to gain a mass following of supporters. If the game does earn a high number of followers, its chances of being selected for distribution on Steam increase.
With obvious competitors such as Codemasters’ upcoming DiRT 4 and previous DiRT Rally, Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo, and WRC 6, gRally definitely has to make a name for itself against the big boys of the all-terrain racing arena. For now though, gRally awaits for approval by the community.
