Well isn’t this a pleasant surprise, the year has yet to come to an end and Turn 10 are already discussing plans for the new year. While a new car pack was expected for the first month of the new year, the contents within were a mystery – that is until now.
As you may have gathered from the video above, Brian Ekberg confirms a new Forzathon event for Forza Horizon 3 in January featuring “the most requested BMW in Forza history.” One may wonder what this BMW could be, and all signs appear to point to the i8 hybrid. With sleek, sporty curvature and a turbocharged inline-3 taking it to a top speed of 160 mph, there’s little denying its credentials as a performance machine.
Those signs begin and end with the community wishlist thread on the official forum headed by ManteoMax. The BMW i8 currently at the top of said list with 42 members pining for the Bavarian hybrid. Surprisingly, the i8 was second only to the Nissan Silvia which debuted in Horizon 3 and was obtainable through a one-day Forzathon event.
While car pack reveals are typically reserved for the day of release, it appears the team at Turn 10 are making an exception and will talk up the contents of the pack earlier than expected. The BMW in question will be revealed next week on the official Forza Motorsport Facebook and Twitter pages as an early Christmas gift.
