Taking everyone quite by surprise, it seems that we have a new Vision Gran Turismo car for Gran Turismo Sport.
The venue for this strange unveiling was an event completely unconnected to Gran Turismo. MCH Group, a Swiss-based live marketing company, was unveiling a new vehicle showroom concept. The business specializes in organizing conferences and fairs, and has created a car boutique in Basel.
“The Grand Basel” aims to present historic and highly-prized cars as works of art and design. The ultra-suave showroom, it says, will appeal to international collectors with the highest standards of culture.
This concept showroom occupies the entire New Basel Exhibition Hall, with special presentations and auctions in the circular Hall 1.
In order to do justice to the event, MCH Group invited four “exceptional” vehicles. Among these was a new concept car from Andrea Zagato, bearing the legendary Iso Rivolta name. Zagato’s wife is Marella Rivolta, grand-daughter of Iso’s founder Renzo Rivolta.
This car is, according to the official press release, a Vision Gran Turismo car which will become available in the game in October. A further Tweet from an official Iso account seems to confirm it:
We're proud to announce the start of the countdown for the presentation of the new #isorivolta #VISIONGRANTURISMO next october 18th 2017!

Sadly, Zagato only unveiled a small portion of the vehicle, although it’s enough to see the Iso badge on the nose and the Zagato Z. It bears a striking resemblance to what little we’ve already seen of the car from the Vision Gran Turismo page.
There’s no official word yet from Sony or Polyphony Digital if this is the real deal or not. It certainly looks promising, although we’ll have to wait a little longer to see the rest of the car.
