When the latest update for Forza Horizon 3 was released, there was a slight issue with its distribution. The update brought the Rockstar Car Pack accompanied by a new barn find to Xbox One players without any complications. On the PC side, things didn’t go as smooth…
Instead of receiving the proper update with the new DLC, PC users were given the full developer build of the game as a 53 GB download from the Windows Store. If a player tried to load up the game, it would corrupt their existing save file. Needless to say as a result of this, many players obviously weren’t happy with what was going on.
But there was one (unintentional) silver lining included with this fiasco; many cars yet to be seen in the series were leaked after players dug about through the game’s files.
Realizing all the chaos the mishap created, Turn 10 removed the download from the Store and postponed the update until it could get things figured out. Three days later, the correct version of the game (1.0.39.2) is now ready to be downloaded for all PC players along with the new car pack being available for purchase.
Forza Horizon 3 is currently available for Xbox One and Windows 10.
