Never drove a real one in the actual 1980’s and won’t bother with this seasonal either- dislike buying old japanese premium cars in the game; its bad enough I have a Kubelwagon :)

    1. Quigz125

the Kubelwagon was a Volks Wagon car from the WWII era. A German made car for Germans. The German army used it during the war and was their version (oddly enough not a good version) of what the Willy’s Jeep was to the Allies (USA, Britain, etc for you young people who don’t know your history, not necessarily those im replying to). The Kubelwagon was not even close to a japanese car.

    2. BlacqueJacques

I know the Kubelwagon is German; I meant I only have/want a minimum of premium cars that are japanese :)

It’s have to be the 1989 R32 GT-R for the win in this series wouldn’t it? Okay, the Supra Turbo and R31 Skyline GTS-R would be strong performers, but Godzilla has both their measure. The 420pp limit is a leveller of course, but all wheel drive still provides superior performance with comfort soft tyres.

I did fine with the RX-7 and Mitsubishi 1800 Turbo and of course the premium MX-5. Oddly enough, when I chose that for Suzuka, the game didn’t just put another MX-5 against me.

Why can’t they have a German car seasonal? There are so many great German cars available in game.. But we are always given Japanese seasonals :-(

    1. MeanElf

I’m hoping that seasonals continue into GT6 too. I would be happier with more use of day/night variants though especially on the Nürburgring, as well as more variety in classes – something that GT6 with it’s improved filters should make easier.

    2. MeanElf

Indeed they do. My second playthrough at the start of last year took half as long to get to level 40 than my original one doing it the normal way.

It was one of the reasons PD implemented them.

Sad lack of premiums in this category, would love to the AE86 and the Bulldog get the full treatment for GT6. Was great fun with the 86 and Motegi anyway.

I have never really been a fan of the old japanese cars, I prefer the big scooby wrx stis they just fit my driving style better because I want a car that is very precise. Anyways there are some good 80’s japanese sports cars to choose from so it will be fun. I’d still prefer a mini cooper race considering that the cooper s preforms very well and is easy to parralel park. Thats it I am gonna buy a mini cooper s with a stick shift brg paint job and two checkered flags painted on each wing mirror and a giant canadian flag on the roof bit will I stand out in the school parking lot.

dude.. when you do that, I want to see it. I think I would take a mini (the original 1.3) any day over some of the new cars. People at school and media when they take about cars have no idea what it actually means to have style.. “Ohh so you mean you want a copy of that one successful company who actually made something but for xxx cheaper? Well we have that in light grey, dark grey, blue grey, red grey….”

you get the point, and I get your point of wanting something different. Good job

    2. Mr C5 Z06 Vette

Thanks swagger I will show all of gtp if I get a mini like that, and yes I get your point of hardly anyone knowing about cars but, tell everyone that they know about all things cars. At my school everyone is obsessed with the veyron, and then I say to them what drivetrain layout does a veyron have? How much horsepower does it make? And what is the top speed of the car? But when I ask everyone says um… I don’t know or some people say absolutely nothing. Its people like these that annoy the crap out of me and I think you feel the same way. ;) don’t get me wrong I like the veyron it looks good, goes like stink and is pretty quiet for a supercar but in reality it will never beat a mini in real world reliability and all it is really good at is going straight and fast (with the exception of la sarthe the thing sticks the porsche curves beutifully). I know i have said this before I love corvettes but for the real world a hot hatch is more practical.

Hey sorry qwbufp, I replied the wrong man… Seems I can`t edit here. Stupid. This was meant as a reply to Mr C5 Z06 Vette.

If no one has a problem with the 2000GT “representing” this post (I believe it’s actually a 70’s car), I’ll leave it. If we have perfectionists in the audience I’ll change it!

    1. sayba2th

T-12, It was displayed in 1965 however production ran 1967-1970, so it falls in to the 70’s and think it can be acceptable as the car rep’ing the post!

    2. sayba2th

*facepalm* didn’t even read the decade when replying T-12 was too interested in the image of the 2000GT you had posted
