Japanese Car Pack Now Available for Project CARS

The Japanese Car Pack for Project CARS is now available in Slightly Mad Studios’ continued efforts to keep the game feeling new with fresh monthly content, and this month’s content delivers in a much anticipated fashion: Japanese cars.

The pack introduces several new cars all of the Japanese variety, ranging from road legal sports cars to a winning Le Mans prototype. The list of cars included in the pack are as follows:

  • Scion FR-S Rocket Bunny
  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI TME
  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ-360
  • Toyota 86
  • Toyota GT86
  • Toyota GT86 Rocket Bunny
  • Toyota TS040

This month’s free vehicle, the Scion FR-S will be available to all players regardless of owning the car pack. The pack is currently rolling out to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and is available for $3.49 USD.

Nice pack in terms of variety (Project CARS only had 1 Japanese car before). I’ve only tried the Lancer Evo VI TME and the TS040. The TME likes to get sideways and was very fun for me to drive. As for the TS040, I’m having some difficulty adapting to it, but is still fun to drive.

It’s gonna take some time before I have this pack, I wonder what the specs are for the Rocket Bunny cars.

Yes! This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. This game was in dire need of this pack seeing that the only Japanese car in it beforehand was the FQ400. Can’t wait to test out one of my all time favorites, the Evo VI TME.

It’s there – go check the website, buy it off there and it’ll download to your PS4. Always up there before the PS4 store updates

No worries – it can be a pain though. I had to add funds to my wallet on my PS4 – the website wouldnt let me pay for the DLC with a card. Some people have to restore the licences on their PS4 to get it to work too.

But if you’re a liar, how can we believe it when you say you’re a liar? You might be lying about that….lol.

The Toyota TS040 is not a “Le Mans-winning prototype” it’s never won the 24 hour race. It has however won the World Endurance Championship in 2014, Le Mans is part of the WEC calendar but Toyota haven’t won it with that car.

It doesn’t say it won Le Mans…it says it is a winning LMP car.
The TS040 won several WEC races.

There is a difference between ‘winning Le Mans prototype’ and ‘Le Mans winning prototype’ as you paraphrased…you realise LMP means Le Mans prototype right??

Good to see SMS being consistent with the DLC. Always seems to be something new and fresh in the game. And at $3.49, only a real miser could complain about the price…lol.

I’d complain about having to pay for stuff, but I always remember that my money is better spent on my education.

Strange that they didn’t add likes of the RZ or 22-B, but I’m still going to get the DLC. Happy for fresh content. More than adequate birthday gift :)

Looks good but I can’t help but think that the duplicate models could of been a different Japanese model, *cough* skyline *cough* WRX *cough* supra!
