Update after update and people still complaining of everything. You got your f******* rims to standards, you got your f****** courseeditor, you got your ******* Aventador, you got patches for your glitshes, duping forexample, on every news whining about some old courses which are not included and long lists of them and cars ofcourse because it seems some players can not live without them.. This list is not ending never.
I have never seen this intense pleasing of gamers as PD have done with patches and dlc.s for the game and what is answer? Noway arigato, just whining about japanese cars, everything what some pc-sim gots and we dont and so on, why that and that and that car isnt in the game, licenses anyone?
If you are not satisfied what GT5 gives to you just stop playing! For me it has offered a lot and will be still even getting close to end but online offering experiences which will keep this game alive as long as GT6 is out.

I was expecting a lot of hate inside when I read this thread title. But they were fun! Very short however? I hope Polyphony is expending their resources on GT6, Which is why we see lightly weighted seasonals? I hope anyway! A little off topic but does the community think its fair that Spa is open to people when they haven’t paid for it? It would be like MW3 letting people play Elite maps online for free wouldn’t it? And IW and Sledgehammer would NEVER let that happen!

This GT5 v2.05 is new for me since I recently updated the game after playing the release version for almost two years. But I have to admit is getting old very quick again. I’m about to buy the last of the 20,000,000 cars, and after that there won’t be much to do. Playing online with others is not my idea of fun. The only thing I haven’t done is buy the X Route DLC thing.
PD please put more A-Spec seasonals with a wider range of PP classes. You can make a three race series with PP ranging from 350 to 400 and 500. Another with PP ranging from 450, 550 and 650, then the last three race series from 580, 680 to 780. That way there will be a wide range of cars that we could use and have more fun with them. I still have a bunch of cars that I can’t drive since their PP about 50 above the required, and they are almost stock. I don’t want to detune them because it beats the purpose of driving that car. It’s ok if I have to take like 10HP, but more than 100HP is nonesense.

Yeah, and more events per week. It would reach out to more people. I’m saying add 3-4 events with 3-6 races each, and each event has it’s own class… (pp or HP limits, weight restrictions, maybe downforce restrictions, nationality retrictions, Etc.) SO many people would enjoy this… and I don’t think it would be so hard.
Sony, please release PS4 asap, I have no idea why you are waiting for Microsoft XBOX to come first. Make GT6 a 99$ game, and have it release alongside the PS4, I guarantee you will rake in millions, and so will PD.

Development takes time, you know… They didn’t just finish the system and wait to release it after Microsoft’s release… And GT6 is DEFINITELY still in development. Plus, there was a claim that the PS3 had a 10 year shelf life, and that the PS4 shouldn’t come out until that shelf life ends; which is around 2016-2017… But they said that about the PS2, and released it 6 years after the PS1, and same with the PS3. It could come out this year, but Sony sure is denying that they’re going to release a system this year, or announce one at E3 2012. IF Sony releases the PS4 AND GT6 is released, then why would it be $99 if it is a console release game? Or are you talking shelf price?

I’m just not going to hate on the game, or the players. We all have features we love, and we have features we aint crazy about. I really want more tracks and cars/car options.
As wonderful a “TIME ATTACK” track as the Nurburgring is, I really want a true high speed technical track that offers at least room for three across racing.
It would be nice to fix the backward suspension settings and the exhaust note when you put in a full adjustable transmission.
It’s counter intuitive, and should not exist in a simulated driving environment.
All I want is some more Cadillacs, either in GT5 or GT6. They got the Cien, but I guess they haven’t realized that Cadillac has produced more high-performance cars in the years since then.

I wish the Fellas at PD would be more creative with their seasonal events.
PD, try adding events like a speed test – where the player must meet a predetermined speed on a certain section of any given track within a certain amount of laps.
For example, the player is given 3 laps to try to achieve a top speed of 212mph on the straight section of SPA (the section after turn 6 and before turn 7).
creativity huh, you know its amazin how they cram 1000 plus cars but yet we see the same seasonals over and over. for example take the many station wagons (or estates) and yet…. i dont know, a race for wagons only?? (still mad at PD cuz they chose not to add the Dodge Magnum) but thats just me.

its true… this game IS feeling stale as of late. it DID give me hundreds of hours of enjoyment and is in a class of its own but there’s so much more they can do w/ it to prolong its existence w/ very little effort.
let the community take over if you’re feeling tired PD. just give us the tools. its what bethesda did w/ skyrim and other developers are following suit because it drives customer engagement.
here are some ideas:
a real map editor (we’ll still pay for official tracks DLC… promise!)
allow the community to organize races and ladders to track stats

I hate to admit it but I do agree, it feel a little stale lately. We need s dose of energy in the game soon in the form of a refreshing and exciting update. I am hoping that this new photo sream thing will do that.
I hear that, I really hope GT6 is around the corner. I hate to say it, but Turn 10 seems more into what the people want.
Turn 10 is a wanna be GT and i guess they are reading GTPlanet Forums more than PD to please people and stole some GT ‘fans’ from GT series to sell more in the future because still GT5 sold 4 times more copies than Forza.
This is like Dice with BF3 is trying to do but is not working because is a different type of game. With Forza it is working BUT in my case they are not going to get a cent from me…i´m not going to buy an xBox because i always play with Sony because of the free internet and better exclusives. I´m not one of those who buys a console from one game only i play tons of games.
Forza is trying to do that. Money money money, and they are doing a great job.
But for a real GT series fan the game is good and is still alive not as much games that you buy and then you stop playing it a month later.
We know what it needs. Better engine sound, all cars premium,better car list with no so ‘repetitive’ car models from different years as Subaru´s or Nissan´s, more customization (livery editor and more car parts so you can tune), more options for the track editor (tell me other racing game as important as GT5 who has this?, no one and this is a new feature in the series so it needs more work), and maybe a few more things.
You have to remember that this is a new engine and they are trying to please us but at the same time with a different mind or way of think about the racing world.
GT5 is not going to be better as it is now so you can go and sell your game. The best is for GT6.

The new events are nice, but I would really prefer more attention paid toward expanding the offline replay value. Why haven’t they given additional options for creating custom races offline?
Not Just A-Spec, Need Lots at once or some kind of championship or series. Or maybe using the online for something more than messing around. Like the N4S Shift Campionships which was a good concept but never worked due to idiots ramming, PD could make a proper online Series where you work your way up through the ranks to race in the high performance cars (similar to Head to Head on Fifa too). Just like most Racing drivers, and to branch out too, soo from karting to hatchbacks to super car cups to GT3/1, karting to formula renault/ford to f1, karting to hatchbacks to JWRC to WRC (if your finnish lol) Even Karting to Ginetta to Clio Cup to Touring Car. You see were im coming from, as you lose you go down only to try harder to get back up, either staying in F1, WRC, Touring car and not being replaced by the next racer in line, true to life online experience. this way, keeps the game alive and competition active without the crappy seasonal repeating themselves, trails are ok but competition happens on track all at once not one after another.

Thats a great idea but would be extemely complecated for most servers. I mean imagine the laging and load times to get those set up. Considering the amount of online glitches and problems GT has had i would imagine that it would be difficult to do it. But it is a good idea. If you look at Autolog on the Shift games they have something fairly similar with the online rankings and restrictions to certain cars in a race. But even they have little far to go. I was playing it last night and I had the race set to mixed so i would have diffrent cars within my car’s class race with me and my friend. But it put me up againts a Bugahti Veyron (sorry for spelling)!! Me and my friend were using an old Porsche 911. The next time we raced GT3 cars and we were up againts hatchbacks!! GT5 has some online abilittes that are better than Shift but even GT5 has some things that need to be tampered with. Like your idea of race series.
If you’re interested in doing a league, look up Gran Turismo 5 Illustrated on Facebook, they got a league with all sorts of racing on there….as for offline racing, im not sure

Thanks, Autolog is Ok, can compete on every level in the gaming using that throught campaign and online, and i know theres leagues and that online but their third party, i would rather have a league, series, championship etc in game, keeping stats like best lap time, win/loss ratio, online league position etc, competition that could be continuos instead of waiting every 2 weeks for a none competitive a-spec/b-spec or trails which got boring months ago. Maybe forget about this game , and GT6 might impliment something like this. they are still trying to compete with an incomplete game where time would be better spent on the next gen game so that it would never have to compete with forza 5…. all PD have to do is Listen!

They should have orginised events. Like Super GT, where they set a time for when it occurs, people sign-up if they wanna race, and then have a good clean race!
yes, I like you idea, but they would have to have hundreds of lobbies because only 16 players get into each race and imagine how good you’ll have to be a t GT5 to get into a race.

Wiped these out in less than 20 minutes. And got me some money back from the 20 mil I just blew a few days ago.
I hate Drift. I just finished these new seasonals successfully but I can’t manage to gold the Suzuka one. I’m using a Fairlady 240 ´71 since it’s the only 70’s Japanease car that I’ve managed to catch in the UCD. I hate the fact that in the middle of the drift the points stop on adding, or the car just slows down to an almost stop, specially in the first left-hand hairpin. I don’t know what car to use, or is it just me.
The Spa drift was relatively easy with an almost stock SL55, and the time trails were just a matter of doing one lap to gold them. The easiest 2,000,000 Cr. I’ve gotten.

BkS – people without the DLC can race the Spa trials. Most DLC is already loaded onto your game disc (I think) and buying the DLC just unlocks it.
Yes. I’ve only bought the car packs and I’m able to race in the Dream Car seasonal and this Time Trail/Drift seasonal over at Spa.

So did I…I’m slowly losing interest in this game. I actually went back to GT3 and 4…the 2 best GT games.
How many times do I see people complaining about “how much this is EXACTLY NOT what they were expecting from PD… sad sad people. There is so much to do in this game, and if you can’t imagine any of that, well then I think it’s time to play something else. Even without seasonal events being updated regularly, I still enjoy the game as much as I did the first day, so people, please stop complaining.

They’re continuously giving us new seasonals, so I’m not sure why there are those thinking they’ve given up on gt5 and moved on to 6. It’s fairly simple for them to add seasonals to an existing game-they’re not taking someone from gt6 for any great length to come up with these or anything-maybe a day or two at most. New tracks/cars ok, that would take a bit more time, still nothing huge to where gt6 is suffering and I’m sure there’s only a few people working on the seasonals, not all of PD.
I wish there were 3-4 a-spec seasonals for every 1 time trial though. Don’t mind the time trials, just like the a-specs that much more. I do them over and over with many different cars. 1 b-spec to every 3-4 a-spec too.
Would really like it if they cleared all of current seasonals out and put in a whole new set of 10 seasonals-even a series of 15 lap events on tracks we don’t normally pit on-with different pp’s and such…. Take some more time, but would really give me a TON of more to do with the game! 10 new seasonals-raced multiple times with multiple cars, I’d be good for a ‘couple’ months with all the normal ‘reracing’ i already do in the regular game!
It would be nice to have more then one seasonal per week. Make it last longer. ;) I wonder what PD is up too. All this wait could mean something good is in store for us. :)

They give you stuff every week and you guy’s still aren’t happy just because it’s not what you want,with these different seasonals I have been using cars that I would have never really used so I thank PD for giving us these.
Actually, yes, I am complaining, I bought GT to race against other cars, NOT to watch BOB do it, NOT to cruise around a track by myself for hundreds of times in order to shave 2/10 of a second off my time and definatly NOT to go sideways.
So curently we are looking at 1 A-Spec seasonal a month and frankly that is not good enough as I believe the majoity of players is looking for those kind of events.
Lets not even mention the sheer un-playability of online and the ‘stuff’ we are given is of no use to most Racers.
I agree with kitchenboy3 I would Prefer to win cars or car parts not random helmets and suits.
sadly I would love to go sideways most of the time (its harder and more fun for me) :) so PD could never satisfy every soul on this planet, everyone have different tastes.. And i love the time trials because at least you won’t have to battle with stupid AI that starts 20 s ahead of you so that you have to use a overpowered car just to reach the top in time.. No time trials is more fun and more of a fun challenge. :)

besides your comparison to COD is pointless since you hate COD you are most likely not playing this game so you would have no cause to visit their site, i however DO like GT and play it. Also I would suggest you take a look at the AUP and familiarise yourself with the rules regarding making personal insults.
Since you are moaning about the extra events they throw in every week for nothing,you must of hated the 4,5 to 5 years you had to play gt4 with no extra events.

I can’t imagine that the Seasonal Events take a very long time to make, but I may be mistaken… If so, then why doesn’t PD add multiple events varying in different countries and power ranges; I don’t mean the A-Spec’s with the 400-500-650pp thing, I’m talking about the classic seasonals that were removed, only around three or four each added every week. It would be open to more people. Maybe even add a new level cap and trophies in the GT5 updates for those Trophy hunters and completionists as well… This doesn’t seem all that hard for PD to do, except maybe the level cap and trophies…
For some reason, the older cars in this game just seem more fun (to me) to drive than most of the modern cars…

Old cars are more fun… for very obvious reasons.. they are more heavy, most of them are FR, they dont have computer/suspension aids etc. they look better and speed isnt like with X2010, so yes they are more fun, especially with G27 or similar wheels.

I can enjoy the older cars without a wheel… I have a Logitech DrivingForce Pro… which is glitched, and possibly slightly broken and out-dated… (I got it from my friend as a birthday “present”, and I believe he had the wheel and never used it since before GT5 came out… as weird as that is) The force feedback and resistance is disgustingly too strong, even at its lowest setting, (it feels like one of those crappy arcade racers at an arcade with strong feedback effects when you touch an object) I don’t get a Reverse gear (so I have to use the Triangle button), and I tried using it with Motorsrorm: Apocalypse, which it worked great with – the feedback was fine, the resistance was still a bit too high. I actually enjoyed playing with it… until I tried to leave the car customization menu… at which point the game would freeze and I’d have to shut down the system and not save an of my customizations. This wasn’t a rare thing – it LITERALLY happened EVERY SINGLE TIME. I don’t have the money for a new wheel, for your information. Now back to the classic car discussion; theres also a few modern cars in the game I love; the Premium Aston Martin DB9 and the Lotus Evora are two great ones, and are also great drifting cars. The RUF’s are GREAT on my custom tracks, especially in Eifle in the wet; you don’t need to try to powrslide the cars, they’ll do it for you… and it isn’t really hard at all to manage. I love it when I find sweet spots in GT5 like that… I haven’t played in around a week and a half… and I’m busy for the rest of the week, and might notbe able to play ’till I get back from Ireland… *Sad face with teardrop*.

On a different note. I think this makes sense considering how old Japanese cars are the stars of the latest OCD update. Though I don’t recall seeing anything prior the 80’s.

Maybe they’re excited of how they’re working on GT6. It may have something really big in it. :) And holding something big for GT5’s update.
Uhhh, then whats this about the Photo Stream addition and March update? Sometimes the seasonals suck, (which is annoying) but that would NEVER imply that they’re done updating and supporting the game. I don’t know WHAT you’re thinking of, Turkey.

Does anyone have any tips on how to keep the rear of my toyota gt2000 under control?
tha japs have made some cracker cars over the years the gt 2000 would have to be the one of the best looking in the game.
I haven’t driven that car yet… even though I’ve got three of them… I don’t know how it responds in the game, but to drive it in the corners, try not to accelerate too hard out of the corners, you may be spinning the tires and loosing rear grip and spinning… If not, install an LSD and increase the Acceleration Sensitivity.
Oh man~, time trial and drift again?! I want A-spec, new car packs (Porsche, etc)! Do something what Forza 4 does!

Porsche cant come into GT5 as long as EA has the license.
We need XP rewards for these Time and Drift Trials, and a higher cash reward; probably between a total of 1,000,000 – 2,000,000 for a Gold medal; and how about some extra rewards for the people who make it to the leader boards by the event closing. I’d say something along the lines of 5 mil. for top 256, 6 mil. for top 10, 7.5 mil. for top 5, 8 mil. for top 3, and 10 mil. for #1.
On a completely unrelated note, if PD adds more Japanese cars, I’d like to see some Premium classics. Honda s600, s800, etc., some of the 70’s skylines, (oh dear, MORE skylines!) some of those great old mazdas, and so on. These cars look great, and are quite fun to drive at all sorts of speeds. I’m glad these cars finally see some light in the seasonals. We really don’t need anymore excessive GT-R and s2000 models with a different wheel size option or sport package; how about you change that into a feature when buying a car from the dealership; you can choose the optional extras, (like with the Audi R8 – you have an option for different brakes, aero packages, trim packages, and even interior packages.) and then choose your paint. Another idea (which might not be such a good one) is to be able to select a car, and then select which year model, then extra packages, then paint, etc. This could possibly save PD some time; they wouldn’t have to make a bunch of copies of cars, and could instead apply packages where needed. It would also give more variety to the cars in the game.

If one is added, there should be an “Event of the Week/Month”, where one event is picked every week/month, and is featured in seasonal events. Then PD would have help designing their seasonals, and give us more great content by seeing what the public and fans like. There isn’t a feedback section for seasonals here, so PD is a little blind when making them. Man, I’m full of great ideas today… :)

Yeah, I like the leader boards too – I love shaving a few seconds from my time or adding a few more points to my drift and watching as I slowly crawl up the boards. We need more leader boards. An easy way to start, in my opinion, would be to add a leader board to each seasonal event; just for best lap and total times, but if PD got creative, they could add in drift point system, and your score would only be posted if you grabbed a podium. Eventually they should add the system to the in-game A-Spec events as well – that is, IF they do anything with leader boards in the future.
