While we’re just over a week away from Early Access users being able to tour the entirety of the Australian Outback, mumblings of an exciting ride expected to appear in this year’s open world racer have surfaced.
These whispers suggest a Rallycross car with over 600 horses under the hood, one more than capable of touring the Australian Outback in grand fashion. The rumors would appear to ring true: Ken Block’s newfangled Ford Focus RX is on its way to Forza Horizon 3.
The confirmation comes straight from a recent news post on the Hoonigan website, noting the virtual debut of the Focus RX:
“Head Hoonigan In Charge, Ken Block, is back at it again! For his 9th installment of Gymkhana, Block pilots his all-new 2016 Ford Focus RS RX! Yes, that’s the same car he currently races in the FIA World Rallycross Championship.
This is the first time it is off the racetrack and on public tarmac! Take notes cause you’ll be able to drive it on the streets soon too… in the new Forza Horizon 3! Enjoy!”
While no timeline for its availability has been announced, this is a welcome addition to a car roster already featuring over 350 shapes of metal. With such features as Horizon Blueprint on the table, allowing users to create custom events and share them, the possibilities of best utilizing the focused machine (pun intended) are virtually limitless.
Forza Horizon 3 will be available on September 23rd for those with early access via the game’s Ultimate Edition, and will be available everywhere on September 27th.

The switch has been rewarding
And this is why Microsoft/Turn10-Playground Games gets it and Sony/PD does not.
One is with the times and the other not.
Sept. 23 actually for the Ultimate edition owners. ;)
Whoops. I confused the dates for Friday and Saturday. Fixed!
