The February roadmap update for rFactor 2 is live and it indicates many goodies coming to the sim. However, one announcement stands above the rest with the reveal that Sebring International Raceway is joining the track roster soon.
Still early in development, the track is expected to land within the next few months. Studio 397 is bringing one of its most accurate recreations yet and it promises the track will be of a higher standard than anything currently in the roster. Every last detail will be replicated according to the team.
Sebring is one of America’s oldest racetracks and has hosted plenty of endurance races throughout the years. It is well known for hosting the Sebring 12 Hours, a crown jewel in the United SportsCar Championship calendar. Perhaps with the addition of Sebring, rFactor 2 will host its own digital version of the event.
There’s no concrete release window but Studio 397 is working “feverishly” to get the finished circuit over the line. If you’re looking for something in the more immediate future, the blog post details some upcoming cars too.
The Corvette C7.R GTE/GTLM is arriving in the game in late April, bringing the V8 monster to rFactor 2 after its announcement over a year ago. That’s not all though, as Norma’s M30 LMP3 will join the car list in the future. The Norma isn’t featured in many titles across the genre, so this should offer a unique drive for players of rFactor 2.
Quality of life changes are coming too with UI and HUD tweaks promised for an upcoming build of the sim. It’s a good time to be playing rFactor 2.
