With just 30 days to go until Gran Turismo 7 launches on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, on March 4, Sony is set to broadcast a special State of Play event dedicated to the game.
The 30-minute show will be the longest single GT7 trailer thus far, following relatively brief glimpses of the game back in July 2020 and then more recently in September 2021 — both in wider PlayStation events — along with a number of smaller “Behind the Scenes” teasers across the autumn and winter months.
While we don’t know much about the contents of the State of Play video, it’s likely to follow a similar format to previous events dedicated to other games like Deathloop, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Horizon Forbidden West.
That means players can expect a pretty busy 30 minutes of brand-new and in-engine gameplay footage, most likely from the PS5 version, along with some details on some of the game’s specific features. As with these previous States of Play, there’ll probably also be narration and pieces to camera from the developer, which will in this case be Kazunori Yamauchi.
Of course we already know plenty about Gran Turismo 7 from all the clips we’ve seen to date, and you can keep yourself informed on everything we know in GTPlanet’s Ultimate Guide to Gran Turismo 7 — which we’ll also be updating with all the new details that emerge from tonight’s event.
Hopefully, along with any other new features detailed, we’ll find out more about the 420+ cars heading to GT7, as well as any of the circuits that have been teased so far — and learn exactly what Music Rally will be…
The stream starts at 2200UTC tonight, Wednesday February 2 (convert to your time here), and you can watch it live in the video at the top of the page. Keep on eye on GTPlanet for all the news and information once the stream ends too!
