Excited for Project CARS 2 but want to see how the latest build of the game is shaping up? We’ve got you covered, as we take a look at two unique gameplay clips. One showing some nice drifting in VR and the other a drive through a snowy Red Bull Ring.
Snowy Red Bull Ring – Caterham 620R
Driven with a gamepad, the above video shows some impressive driving skills by YouTube user Mad Al. The grippy Caterham 620R takes on some less than ideal racing conditions and knocks it out of the park.
From the driver’s perspective we can see just how good Project CARS 2 looks in action. The benefits of Live Track 3.0 are heavily exemplified here as the player navigates the snowy Austrian venue. We’re total suckers for good environmental effects here at GTPlanet, so we’re really impressed with how the game looks.
Normally the Caterham is a grip monster but under the slushy tarmac we can see the open-wheeler squirm when put under pressure. Safe to say, Project CARS 2 is looking like a lot of fun here.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI SVA – COTA (VR Gameplay)
This drive would make Chris Harris cry with joy as we see a rip-roaring drift run through the Circuit of The Americas.
The beastly Evo VI SVA goes sideways for a lot of this VR footage and YouTuber bettesjuice doesn’t waste a square of tarmac as he guides the vehicle with ease. In our opinion, this is one of the finest Project CARS 2 gameplay videos to date with great lighting and car behavior on show. Keep in mind that this is a version of the title running on PC and not console. There is currently no confirmation of PlayStation VR support.
GTPlanet had the opportunity to go hands-on with Project CARS 2 during E3 and you can read our impressions right here. There are mere months left until release and we see the hype building for Slightly Mad Studios’ latest work. For now, enjoy this latest selection of Project CARS 2 show-reel.
