Slightly Mad Studios has released a new Project CARS 2 trailer showing off its selection of Ferraris. Players will be able to drive 10 of the Prancing Horse’s finest.
Forza Ferrari
Project CARS 2 has looked at the past and present for its Ferrari representation. Fan favorites like the 330 P4 and LaFerrari can be seen tackling the tarmac. The trailer itself focuses on the engine notes from each car with no intrusive music or voiceovers used. We likey.
Our always up-to-date car list has had the cars since the WMD embargo was lifted last month, but this is the first official trailer for the Maranello machines. The launch day field of Ferraris is two greater than we initially expected.
- 1990 Ferrari F40 LM
- 1996 Ferrari F50 GT
- 2016 Ferrari 488 GTE
- 2016 Ferrari 488 GT3
- 1996 Ferrari 333 SP
- 1967 Ferrari P4 330
- 1969 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Competizione
- 2003 Ferrari Enzo
- 2015 LaFerrari
- 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO
We knew Ferrari was coming to the title and it was a matter of time until we saw the extent of its inclusion. Many photos and gameplay videos showed off the 488 GT3 in the past. Players were wondering if the SMS team would dip into the archives and clearly it has. Vehicles like the F40 LM and F50 GT are great additions to the overall car roster. The major focus on the motorsport side of Ferrari brings us some unique cars often ignored in other franchises.
Project CARS 2 is set to launch in just over a month. With a September 22 release date, the sequel is set to go wheel-to-wheel with GT Sport and Forza Motorsport 7 this fall. GTPlanet got the chance to go hands-on a few months back at E3; you can read our impressions here.
