Ahoy ahoy everyone! Approaching the two-month mark for the competitions, we’ve settled in as people are really starting to crack how to best get shots out of the game, and the rush to discover all GT5 has to offer means now we finally have more cars to shoot! This was all readily apparent last week as we had a record number of entries (and votes) in the competitions. Haven’t entered before? This previous News article should cover everything you need to know, and the knowledgeable community can answer any additional questions you have. We’ve got some interesting new themes this week that leave plenty of opportunity for creativity, and just like last week, I’ll be putting prizes up on offer for those who walk away with the most votes in the poll. So, what’s in store this week?
PMC Week 6 Winner: Malc01
Photomode Competition (PMC): Malc pulled away a decisive win last week, dominating the poll basically from the minute it opened. This week, he’s got an interesting theme for the rest of us in this no-editing competition: First Corner. In his own words, he’s looking for you to “capture the moment from a grid start to the ‘first corner’ – either chaotic or sublime”. So any cars you want, in a group setting, and the rest is up to you. We expect to see a lot of Monza shots…

-2.0 Advanced Week 6 Winner: RetroGiant
Advanced Competition (2.0): It seems the F40 is the digital rabbit’s foot – it’s won in the competitions on 3 separate occasions, this time in the able hands of RetroGiant. Since the F40 won him his first 2.0 win (and a shiny new Peugeot 908 HDi FAP), he’s provided us with a similar theme: Money Maker. Grab the car in your garage that’s won you the most credits, and capture it doing what it does best: increasing your bank account. Should be pretty easy to manage since the car’s being used anyways, right?

PMC Week 7 Poll: Rally – Atlop‘s theme called for liveried rally cars taking on snow, dirt, or city streets. Which of the 30 deserves the win?
2.0 Week 7 Poll: Sunrises and Sunsets – Shidapu‘s theme brought out lots of dramatic shots highlighting GT’s new time of day system. Only 20 entries made it to poll, which gets your vote?

Those. Up there. Borrowing inspiration from some real-life SV’s, I’m putting up 4 Lambos, for this week’s winners, and next’s. They are all near-stock (just a titanium exhaust equipped), with zero miles; the special bits are the paint colours. Matte Purple and Matte White are known as the prize colours gifted for certain milestones in the game, the other two colours are colours randomly gifted through the daily login bonus, as they are otherwise not available as prizes or for purchase. Best of all? In GT5, you won’t get your car booted for parking outside of Harrods!

anybody else have a problem in arcade that once you change race settings you cant change them agian?

How do you get multiple cars?!?! I really want to take “team” pics of my Super GTs. i.e. Arta ASL and NSX/ Xavani and Motul GTRs/ Yellow Hat Supra and GTR.
Has there been a “flying cars” week yet? I have this awesome pic of a Furai at least 10 feet off the ground… it looks like it’s about to shoot missiles at the cars on the track :-)

You are receiving them, you’re just not getting notified. Take note of your paint chips next time you get the Museum Card popup; you’ll have however many new chips as you got new Museum Cards.

These are some realy nice pics. But can someone explain me how to put multiple cars in a photomode scene?
You take multiple pictures from the same spot and put them together in a program such as photoshop.

Yep, Photoshop is how I did the Murcielago picture :)
I don’t have a chance, so I should enter to give everyone a better chance. Does that even make sense?
Can you really have more than one car in photo mode? If so do tell :)
Pretty sure you can’t, it must be a composite image made in an editing program(Which I thought was banned)
Of course if I read the article I would know that that picture wasn’t an entry. ;)
