Maybe they should stop releasing seasonal events and regular updates….. bet those who complain would love that! We should all be grateful that we’re getting any content….period!

    1. MeanElf

A bit offensive that! If you want to pick on a group, why not choose one that no one cares about…say those who have these big trucks and live in a city but never take it out to the countryside or have a job that requires one?

    2. Jareski

Uhhh, that’s also offensive.. Lol. People can drive whatever they want whenever they want, because at the end of the day, it’s theirs and not yours. If buddy wants to off-road with a Veyron, all the more power to him.

  2. DYLAN777-is-not

Why do people just continuously complain about any nice thing that comes thier way? These comments are ALL complaints even mine, sadly. So ill stop complaing and say what i came here to say. Truck racing yay!! This is awesome. The trucks in this game are beastly so the races will be awesome.

    1. challengerrt10

      No, it’s not awesome.

There is a major reason to complain, because seasonals are very repetitive. We already have got pickup’s events two times in A-spec. Implementing them again in seasonals is needless. Instead of this they should give as convertibles cup, station wagon cups, Corvette meeting, Viper Meeting, Luxury sedans cup and etc. This is what A-spec is missing. And the should give these in seasonals to make up for poorly diversified A-spec.

Since I got Forza 4 I haven’t been playing seasonals (except Time trials). In that game there are events for almost every car the game offers.

    2. challengerrt10

And they should implement perfomance bonus (with next update) for every events in A-spec, after this stop putting these repettive seasonals.

    3. MeanElf

Challenger – GT4 took me six months to complete and I only did a few events again. GT5 has lasted far longer than that and I had more gaming time per day available too – this is excluding the Seasonals, just career and all of the challenges, license tests etc. I didn’t een wasteany of that time with online either. I think this whole “A-Spec is so short” trend is so untrue.

    4. Pit Crew

The Seasonals can be repetitive. Its frustrating when a lack of imagination plagues a simple theory.

Keep events changing every 2 months. TT Locations, Drift Events, ASpec Events should be reevaluated and upgraded more consistently to maximize playability, challenge worthiness and fun factor.

PD could take some hints from the various leagues represented here on GTP.
Im involved in a league (LLC) whos next event is at Spa in LMP cars (C60 Hybrid) with weather on 2 hr endurance. Now 120 minutes may be tasking, but a purposeful 15-20 min ASpec event with Day to Night or Weather options could bring back that loving feeling. (IMO)

  3. Tvensky

its always good when you get some variety!
Pity I dont drive seasonals anymore..
they all are the same, and racing from the back all the time is just wrong. no practice, no qualify to understand the opponent… very empty… sad..

cant wait for GT6 to bring some fresh stuff.. hope it will be more racing “simulation” style, not just driving.

  4. brugab

Chasing the White Rabbit No. 5202 … we could have guns and bombs to launch too!.. racing?… and if you come with the driving simulator story that just take out the other cars and go for time trial… at least you “race” with someone, somehow… thank God for multiplayer…

  5. FormulaKimball

Ok, can we have an updated SuperGT Seasonal next?? Please?? The one in there is over a year old and the OCD is full of JGTC cars but only one truck! I’d like to race some SuperGT with a performance difference bonus incentive and some new tracks :)

  6. KVelocity

Arguably one of the hardest seasonals, haven’t golded any of them yet and I’m using a 470PP Chevrolet SSR.

    1. a5kylar990

It’s not the event it’s your truck the SST sucks get a act lighting or a Tacoma x runner I beat all except nir at 455 pp in both trucks

    2. Pit Crew

SSR and The SS Concept chevy 2 different trucks

The SS is a beast in this seasonal, very quick and agile for a truck.

add trans and drivetrain parts because its usually acceleration that hinders success in these Chase the Wabbit seasonal. Raise the Rear of truck to Positive 8 Front lower it to negative 12. Assuming you use No Aids this lite tune may help.

Think Drift through the turns and let the back slightly break traction.

Turn down LSD to 15 10. adjust braking sensitivity to your liking.

My Crew Untouchables RC ran trucks lastnight at Lemans no chicane Daytona SSW and SSRX, and the Chevy Dominated, the Toyota…not so much. Tune it.

  7. habsfrenzy

Can’t find any premium trucks, did I miss one: if there is a gun rack would be cool when you look back.

    good racing,

  8. 6ampstate

ya man, 1,334,160 credits for winning at Mt. Aso @ 400pp. little over a million credits in the PDA alone :) haha. Mt. Aso as usual is the pay out.

  9. JDmsz

People that use driving assits are fakes. It takes no skill of winning a seasonal event with aids on. I use manual and abs 1

    1. tpark103

Your the best in the whole wide entire gigantic huge humongous large big tall wide world!!!!! NOT!!!!!! But seriously good for you that you don’t have to use aids, neither do I and many other people who cares!

    2. another_jakhole

He might be talking about the top times in the Time Trials. There were only two people in the top 10 of a certain Time Trial event that didn’t use any assists. Oh, it was for the 400pp rally event which makes it all the more ridiculous. If that’s not what he means, then.. neh.

    3. a5kylar990

I only use abs and maybe like on the jap 80’s 1 on tc since I was using comf soft’s in a car that came with sports hards

  10. KingDejch

I would really like to get in OCD Ford GT LM Race Car. Its never in the Used Car Dealership, and i never have seen it in OCD. :(

    1. KYD302

The one with the Gulf Paint scheme? i have two of them an see them alot actually i have the 60’s one also that one took me forever to find

    2. stupidstormy36

You can win the 60’s Ford GT40 LM Race Car from the B-Spec Indianapolis 500 in the Endurance Series.

    3. KingDejch

60s version i have u get it as a prize, thats true. I mean the Ford GT LM Race Car with same paint as the 60s version. i just dont see it in UCD and i look for it everyday, OCD never has it though.

i hope i get it i tried that trick with car ticket, but i always got nascar… and i lost all interest in it. :)

    4. Pit Crew

^ Level 21 ticket will glitch somtime and only send NASCARS. Send yourself fresh ticket if you still can. Should you need another one send PSN Account LenBiasFan a friends and ill send ya 1.

  11. HuskyGT

I take back what I’ve said. Despite the refreshing choice of vehicles in these seasonals, the “chase the rabbit” formula kills these events. I quited after Suzuka.

  12. Brunskill777

    *Tacoma
Also, the Tuscan 6 and Tamora on the OCD, aren’t they the same as they are on the dealership? But apparently even though they’re the same year, same model, same pp, the ones on the OCD are standard (as are all used cars). How does that work?

    1. HuskyGT

As with other cars, they were just ported from GT4 so the car count could increase. Kind of unfair if you tell me. The renault Clio V6 is another example, as well as the BMW M5 and Z4.

    2. DuskTrooper

And not to forget that Copen Active Top ’02. It’s kind of stupid of how they just inflate the list numbers like that. If you’re going to model the car into premium status, why would there be a need for a inferior standard version?

      Tell me why, PD.

  13. Brunskill777

Yay, no stupid comfort tyres. But didn’t we already do pick ups? Oh well, haven’t tried them yet but they look OK. Probably use the Tacomo as it’s the BEST pickup on the game by far. I looked and one has 414 pp so I’ll probably be lightening it and addidng a bit more power. And the OCD has TVR’s on. Cerbera Speed 12 in Reflex purple. SO COOL

    1. a5kylar990

The juke gtr in some people’s eyes are trucks, but people call vans trucks and like cross over vehicles trucks

  14. TheEzekiel

omg why are you people constantly talking about GT6 over and over again…are you crazy? I’m pretty sure we will wait a long time..long long time…don’t be so excited you will be suffering of waiting :)

    1. DuskTrooper

We will all die of boredom if we try to wait for that game. Why? Because that game won’t be coming out for another decade.

      /sarcasm

    1. KYD302

They should have truck pulls mud runs hill climbs tug of wars for the trucks rather then driving on race tracks all the time GT calls itself the real Driving sim if the games focus is on driving why are the only places to drive race tracks i’d rather see open roads race tracks are fun but they get old an also some moto bikes would be awesome, But GT/PD probably won’t do that because Forza is doing that with Horizon because people want an open world environment also some actual squad cars would be fun to see for those that play Cops online

    2. a5kylar990

Replying to KY’s comment gran turismo is a real racing simulator it does say racing but honestly forza will truley be the realist driving sim when forza horizon comes out,

  15. ImprezaAddict

I hate these follow the leader events. PD really seems to hate grid starts from 0kph. It’s not that hard, and it’s actually what most races in real life do.

  16. Gran_Turismo

Yaaawwwwn… Catch the speeding rabbit syndrome again… BORING! Whats teh point of the Performance Difference Adjustment system if there are barely any races that take advantage of it due to overly fast leading cars?

    1. kent253

Thats the thing I hate the most in GT5. Every cars are easy to overtake but the first one is always like 13 seconds away. Thats why I satisfies myself with the 3rd or 2nd place.

  17. m8h3r

Just ditch the Rolling start and Chase the Rabbit. That would make these event completely different. It’s not the Car/Track Combination people are complaining about its the fact its the same Chase the Rabbit rubbish every fortnight.

  18. Hentis

Ok then if there were no more Seasonal’s you’d also be moaning your arses off. Just get on a play them.

    1. TokoTurismo

Hentis does have a point there. Its GT5, just leave it the way it is so PD can fully focus on GT6. I hardly play games nowadays anyway so I’m not to worried. Haha.

    2. Pit Crew

^ Ive been chasing triplets. (3 Tacomas). oh well. Concept Chevy SS Pickup is beastly with lite tune 467 PP.

    3. Hentis

Oh I defeinately understand about the chase the rabbit thing. I even find it hard on some of the seasonals when I use tuned cars and to be honest if I dont do it after around two or three attempts I dont bother.

At the end of the day if they even put in Grid starts then we will have so many and people will be complaining that the seasonals are too easy. I find its just to hard trying to cater for everyone. Poor Kaz cant win.

  19. cannandreas

ZzZZZzzzZZzz Need new events. Taking events already incorporated into the game is just lazy. And look at these comments only 50 and around 70% are saying they’re bored with it.

  20. Whitestar

The coolest seasonal I played last year was the Ferrari event on La Sarthe. They should bring that back, and maybe an F1 and Lamborghini event on Spa. And how about some Nissan GT-R action on The Ring.

    1. Pit Crew

OP is talking bout last summers Ferrarii only street car event at lemans. The best seasonal combination for street cars to date.

  21. Djwess

You know if they did something from GT4 like a 1-lap magic battle, I’ll be like OMG SOMETHING NEW!!!!
Or one make battles with tire wear and tear, that would be fun
Or some new events like CroDan said,” You’re in the lead by 15 seconds. To win you must keep that position from 11 other 500hp cars while you are running 300hp at sports medium tires.”

Sadly it is another rabbit chasing event.

  22. Speedster7

I don’t know why everyone is complaining about the seasonals. Sure those things like tire wear and more Laps would be nice, but I still think all the seasonals (apart from the drift trials which are dominated by the same players and cars) are good fun and a good way to earn credits since they added the new PP deficit rule. Just play fur fun it’s a video game!!

    1. gamerdog6482

I agree, Speedster7. I am going to grab my Ram our and do these events, just because I like the Ram.

    2. Renan_

So, play for the cars and for the money, that´s how I do, generally in those seasonals I use cars I never had driven before and I always have fun with that, plus the very nice credits to update my car collection, I think you should do that, you´ll probably get satisfied with that :), of course it´s my opnion.

About that “chasing the rabbit” thing, I think it´s useless to complain, they´ll not change that in gt5 now, if they do, they´ll lost much time, a precious time, a time that will make gt6 development be longer than it´s suposed to be, imo.

  23. Amac500

I hate that I have no premiums for the event, lol, pet peve, I need a cockpit cam. Well one of these days they will stop denying the inevitable and give us a European car event of some type. Or an expert Le Mans event like the Ferrari F1 event. More expert race car events would be welcomed.

    1. Quakebass

Yeah, Premium trucks would be nice.

Moreover, no standards would be better – they just aren’t the GT way.

    2. another_jakhole

The Raptor as DLC. I was expecting that about as much as I was expecting the Honda HSV from the beginning.

  24. COLOSAL TOSSLE

try doin it with low PP = $$$…just chased down the toyotas an mt aso,won by 4 sec = 1.15 million .car was at 420PP

    1. FormulaKimball

Trucks. Trading paint. Chase rabbits, then drive like a nasty bastard to bunch up the field again (behind the trapped rabbits). Laugh yourself silly. Racing dirty is not my forte and it’s tricky sometimes. Gets me through some of these nonsense events though. Nordschleife was fun clean.

  25. SonicConqueror

Brake too gently, you won’t pull up.
Brake too hard, you’ll lock up the rear brakes, & you’ll jacknife.

  26. TokoTurismo

This event seems very familiar. Didn’t we had this before? Ahh who cares, its GT5 of course so its great to have these seasonal events still going. :)

Hope GT6 is going along okay PD. ;)

  27. HuskyGT

Finally something different. Very nice PD! I see myself doing the seasonals again. This is why I will always aprove cars like this in Gran Truismo; it gives it variety.

I’ll try with the Ram, but I think I’ll have to get the X-Runner.

  28. BWX

blah, blah, blah, 5 laps.. blah, blah, blah, 5 laps. blah, blah, blah, 5 laps. Try something different PD! Geez, wouldn’t it kill ya tio have a 10 lap race or god forbid 15 laps w/ tire wear? Come on, why so boring and uninspired?

    1. Quakebass

So then you wait a MONTH for another A-Spec seasonal? No, that isn’t an excuse. We need more events, not just these seasonals. They could AT LEAST do something other than 5 laps for once, it REALLY isn’t that hard. Just like making the seasonals be something other than the same 400-500-650PP events over and over again. Whay can’t they just have more creativity with laps? And tire wear?

    2. CroDan

I agree with BMX. I’m starting to find it boring too.

Perhaps they should include some sort of scenario races or more conditions.

Here’s a good scenario. You’re about 15 seconds ahead of around 5 or more cars with 500bhp. Here’s the catch…. The car you’re in only has around 300bhp and medium sports tires.

Aim…. To finish in the same position you started in (first).

    3. Pit Crew

Ive said it before, add day to night events to the seasonals. Lemans, Nurb, Monza, Suzuka, High Speed Ring, Elements seasonal or whatevs.

This example should be our next ASpec seasonal in a perfect GT5 world.

Can the Chase the Wabbit A.I.!!! or as I call it sometimes; Rolling Checkpoints.
