Organizers
The Contest “Organizers” are GTPlanet and GTChannel.
Contest Format
The “Qualification Period” of the contest begins on May 5, 2014, upon the opening of “Round 2” in GT Academy 2014. Contestants will record their fastest valid lap time in “Round 2” of the contest, and report this time via web form posted in an announcement on https://www.gtplanet.net/ between May 20, 2014, 12:00am Eastern Time (EDT) and May 21, 2014, 12:00am Eastern Time (EDT).
Once all player times have been submitted, the contest Organizers will verify the integrity of the times using the in-game leaderboards provided by Gran Turismo 6. If the time displayed on the leaderboard does not match the time reported by the contestant, the following procedure will be used to determine the contestant’s ranking:
- If the in-game leaderboard time is slower than the reported time, the contestant is disqualified.
- If the in-game leaderboard time is faster than the reported time, the faster time is ignored and the reported time is used.
After confirmation, the 10 fastest qualifying contestants will be invited to join an online race event in Gran Turismo 6. The race will be held on May 26, 2014 at approximately 6:00pm Eastern Time (EDT).
The race will be governed under GTPlanet’s Online Racing Rules & Guidelines, as interpreted by the Organizers and official race stewards. Any contestant may be disqualified at any time for any reason.
All decisions regarding all matters of this Contest are at Organizers’ discretion and are final and binding. Organizers reserve the right to disqualify a Winner at any time, for any reason, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Organizers are not responsible for logistical issues that may arise, or technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions that may limit a contestant’s ability to participate in the Contest.
Organizers reserve the right in their sole discretion to modify, cancel or suspend this Contest should administrative or logistical issues arise, or disruptions, interruptions, hardware or software malfunctions, data loss or corruption, viruses or bugs, or any other cause beyond Organizers’ control, compromise or corrupt the administration, security or proper play of this Contest. Additionally, Organizers reserve the right to modify rules and the number of contestants as needed to enable the successful conduct and completion of the Contest.

Eligibility
To enter “GTPlanet’s PlaySeat Challenge on GTChannel”, you must be a legal resident of the United States of America, 18 years of age or older as of May 20, 2014, and a registered GTPlanet member in good standing with the community and Organizers.
Unsportsmanlike conduct, disrespectful or inappropriate actions directed at Sponsor or its employees or other contestants, or other behavior deemed at the sole discretion of Sponsor to be harmful to or inconsistent with the image or reputation of Sponsor or the implementation of the Contest may result in disqualification from this Contest in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Winners
Return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. Winning contestants may be required to sign an image release acceptable to Organizers in order to claim any prize. Any contestant who does not meet the requirements of these Contest rules may forfeit prizes or be disqualified from the Contest in Organizers’ sole discretion. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded to other contestants.
Prize is not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash. No substitution for the prize by the winner will be allowed. If necessary, due to unavailability of the prize for any reason, a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded at the sole discretion of the Organizers. All federal, state and local tax liabilities related to the receipt of the prize are the sole responsibility of the contestants.
Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited) for the Organizers to use the contestant’s name, likeness, biography, statements, and any other similar materials for marketing, promotional and publicity purposes without additional compensation or any limitation. Employees of the Organizers and its parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in this Contest. Neither the Organizers nor its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, division or related companies and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, members, manager, employees, agents, and assigns are responsible for any damages, taxes, or expenses that winners might incur as a result of this Contest or receipt of a prize or any portion of a prize.
