PlayStation’s annual pre-summer promotional period, Days of Play, is underway for 2025, bringing with it discounts on hardware and software across the range.
The promotion runs over the course of two weeks, from May 28 to June 11, and while the precise nature of the savings do vary depending on territory there’s decent deals for gamers just about everywhere.
There’s plenty of game deals scattered throughout PlayStation Direct and the PS Store, perhaps the most notable being Gran Turismo 7’s PS5 boxed version coming in at 50% in all territories. Forza Horizon 5’s standard edition is also 20% off in the PlayStation Store (25% off in Europe), if you’ve not yet tried the platform-hopping racer. Of course other games in the genre and hundreds of other titles are discounted too.
Players in Europe who are looking to get into the PlayStation platform, buy second consoles, or upgrade are pretty well catered for as there’s money off all three consoles. The base console and the Digital Edition both come in at €100/£90 off — at €449.99 (£389.99) and €399.99 (£339.99) respectively — in Europe and the UK, though they remain at standard pricing in North America.
It seems that the PlayStation 5 Pro isn’t quite as much in need of a discount, but at least players in the USA are included in the deal this time. There’s €/$50 (£45) off the console’s price, which now comes in at €749.99/$649.99/£654.99, as Sony looks to add to the ~76m consoles in the PS5 family sold-through to customers.
The same discount applies to a fourth major piece of hardware, as the PlayStation VR2 is reduced by €/$50 (£45) across the regions, now priced at €399.99/$349.99/£354.99. However the PlayStation Portal device remains at full price.
Those looking to spruce up their consoles can find discounts on covers for the original “fat” PS5 and its more recent “slim” update. Slim models, depending on the color, have €10 off in Europe (except Volcanic Red), $10 off in the USA (though neither Sterling Silver nor Chroma Teal are listed), and £10 off in the UK (except Volcanic Red and Sterling Silver).
UK buyers also get the biggest savings on the original console’s covers, at £15 off most colors (not Galactic Purple though), while there’s also $15 off for US gamers (including Galactic Purple…), but just €10 for players in Europe.
You can score matching (or clashing, if you like) DualSense controllers too, with a uniform $/€/£20 off every standard color — including the newest Chroma shades — while there’s also a $/€30 (£20) reduction in the DualSense Edge’s price.
Other discounted hardware includes the Access controller, at $/€/£20 off, and the Pulse wireless earbuds that sport a $/€30 (£25) saving. They’re still a pretty stern $169.99/€189.99/£175.99 though.
