The team at Kunos Simulazioni continue to ride the hot streak after last week’s release of the anticipated Red Pack, bringing seven all-new Italian rides to the game, in addition to the Red Bull Ring.
With last month’s bombshell reveal that Porsche is coming to the game later this year, Marco Massarutto, Executive and Licensing Manager at Kunos, has begun trickling information on the forthcoming pack. Revealing on his Facebook page that work on the Porsche 935/78 is well underway.
Racing to Group 5 regulations, the 935/78, nicknamed ‘Moby Dick’ due to its large size and overhangs, was developed under Norbert Singer as an outright contender at Le Mans. Despite a strong qualifying finish at the 24-hour race, the 1978 935 would ultimately cross the finish line in eighth place after a forced engine change and complications during the early hours of the race.
While a release date has yet to be officially announced, the partnership will result in 20 cars from the Stuttgart automaker spanning across two car packs and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. There are just a few weeks remaining until console racers can experience the game for themselves when it releases in late August.

Awesome, now I wish this would be in GT Sport. ?
There is a good chance that these cars will be very authentic too, Kunos are working in close partnership on the Porsche pack.
OMG!
PS – I hope Turn 10 are watching! And then walk away with their tail between their legs.
lol
YES YES YES I’m totally sold on Assetto Corsa now. I so desperately wanted to drive this car in a video game, and the opportunity has finally come!
Wow, these guys are good. Can’t wait for the PS4 release, i’ll be all over it.
Thing is that my top priority for racing games is… First physics, second car selection, third track selection and last but not least graphics… This far in my life gran turismo made everything I needed especially in car department, but now.. On ps4.. while I still will buy gt sport and dominate Internet, it’s physics is what my heart still loves… I see how assetto corsa could become my new favorite racing game, because I strongly dislike modern booring race cars, and since gt sport is focusing mainly on new booring cars, getting away from it’s big number of road cars and normal old Street cars… assetto corsa this far starts to be most awaited game, hope it’s physics will be what everyone is telling… Especially in drift department, because it really is what tells you about the game physics.. Project cars is great example of being worst sim game based on physics… It doesn’t know what to do when grip is lost… Don’t get me wrong, I drive grip racing mostly, but various types of motorsports in game can tell alot about game physics engine, that’s why I loved gt so much.. Karting, Nascar, rally, drift, grip, license tests etc.. That game delivered… In sports it seems too many things are missing.. Really hope to see gt7 with everything back.. But not on ps4, it will be too late again.. It must come to neo or ps5, no doubt… This far bring me cold beer and assetto corsa…
circuit de la sarthe with this dlc will be nice…
A dream come true to have this car in a proper sim. Can’t wait. With the release of the Porsche pack it’s going to be an incredible collection of cars for such a small car list. So many high points in racing history are honoured.
Great book, by the way.
NFS Porsche has this aswell… nice to see this gold nugget in a fresh game :)
Porsche!!!!!
Hot dang, that is a sexy car, love the long tail…
And just generally these 70’s/80’s racers.
