It’s Friday, and that means two new cars have landed in Forza Horizon 4. Following on from last week’s Japanese duo, the latest addition is a pair of Porsches.
Yesterday saw the seasons change, with the cold blanket of winter descending upon Playground’s version of Britain. So you can find it comforting that at least one of the cars arriving today should be able to make short work of the white stuff.
Up first is the 1985 Porsche #185 959 Rally Raid. Prodrive built and campaigned the cars, a name that should be very familiar to rally and motorsports fans. There were three 959s in the Paris-Dakar that year, and while none finished, it proved an important development year for the team. In 1986, Porsche was back with three more, and the 959 not only finished, but claimed first, second, and sixth.
If it could dominate at such an extreme event, surely the 959 will be an able companion in FH4.
This week’s other car is from a little further back in Porsche’s history books. You’ll also find it much further back in a race compared to the 959, but what it lacks in pace it makes up for in style.
The 356 A 1600 Super is just about 60 years old. Its 75hp and sub-ton weight made it decently quick at the time, and it’s still a nimble little thing. It’s actually the second 356 to be a part of the FH4 roster: the 1957 Speedster is already there. The coupe arrives just in time, what with all this cold weather we’re having this week…
Both cars are available through the Car Pass, or can be purchased individually. Players that have the pass will receive 42 cars over a 21-week period — these are the fifth and sixth cars to arrive.
