The Porsche giveaways in Forza Horizon 3 show no signs of ceasing this month. Turn 10 has revealed June’s Forzathon lineup, and the Stuttgart manufacturer continues to take center stage.
The first set of events has already come and gone, offering up the Macan Turbo to players. Up next is the 340 hp Cayman GTS. The GTS offers Cayman fans a more exciting experience than the cooking models, without encroaching on the track-ready GT4’s turf. Players that bought the Porsche pack will already have a GT4 in their garage: it should be interesting to see how the two models compare.
Titled “Celebrating the Forza Community”, the next set of events runs all of next week, starting Monday June 12. In fact, it coincides with E3 2017, where Turn 10 is wholly expected to unveil Forza Motorsport 7. The car up for grabs? The 996.2-gen 911 GT3 — the first GT3 offered in North America.
After that week-long event, Forzathon goes the opposite direction with a 24-hour set. Using the free Tamo Racemo that was gifted out earlier this year, players will have the opportunity to win the usual brace of XP, Wheelspins, and Credits, alongside a new comedy horn.
“Fun In The Sun” kicks off the following weekend. Unfortunately, that title isn’t a hint at a convertible or some such thing: instead, the prize is the other Porsche SUV, the Cayenne. Still, the big 500 hp crossover should prove adept at dune jumping.
Wrapping up the month in terms of prize cars is the 944 Turbo. This 250 hp slice of ’80s cool represents an excellent blank canvas for tuners. Stick with the turbo four? Drop a V8 in? Send it drifting? The 944 is always game.
