Slightly Mad Studios has kicked off the week with another reveal of a car set to appear in Project CARS 2 later this year. After a selection of Nissans, a time attack Evolution VI, and the Jaguar XJR-9, the latest addition is the KTM X-Bow GT4.
KTM is an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer that specializes in producing all kinds of two-wheeled machinery, most of which is heavily inspired by the manufacturer’s success in the motocross discipline. The X-Bow was the firm’s first attempt to produce a fast, track-oriented sports car.
The GT4 is the latest iteration of the X-Bow, specially developed to be eligible for GT4 competitions. The most notable change in the car’s appearance is the addition of a closed cockpit, followed by a big wing mounted on the rear end. Estimated power coming from the 2.0 litre Audi engine is said to be over 330 hp, depending on event regulations.
Modern gamers should be no stranger to KTM’s selection of products. The X-Bow in particular has been seen in all of the latest driving games, including Gran Turismo 6, Assetto Corsa, and the Forza franchise. The original Project CARS also had it, so there is no doubt players will appreciate the step-up in performance the GT4 offers.
As always, check out the GTPlanet Q&A with Ian Bell thread to stay in touch with latest information on the development of Project CARS 2, which is set to arrive late 2017.
