Last week, Slightly Mad Studios pushed out a surprise Project CARS 2 update for PC players. Now PS4 sim racers have the opportunity to try the new patch, which includes a free car and two new track layouts.
The Ferrari 488 Challenge is arguably the star of the update, as it’s free to all players. The latest V8 berlinetta is the fastest and most powerful car in the one-make series’ 25-year history. SMS has also included all of the 2017 liveries.
Players still learning the ropes at Porsche’s Leipzig track will find two more layouts to master. The circuit was part of the Porsche Legends Expansion that released last month, and it offers a Greatest Hits smorgasbord of some of the most iconic corners in motorsports.
In addition to the new content, Slightly Mad has continued to polish various aspects of the game. If you haven’t jumped in yet, we recommend checking out our initial review of Project CARS 2.
Patch 5.02 weighs in at 3.5GB. Handily enough, the PS4 patch notes are identical to the PC notes this time around, and you can find them right here.
