Nearly a month ago we shared content details regarding the special ‘Game of the Year’ Edition of Project CARS, that had been scheduled to appear around this spring. This time we can contribute a bit more as SMS has announced a launch date and a possible price for this interesting item!
Project CARS Game of the Year Edition is going to see a wide-release in North America and Europe on May 6th. Players that own the existing game won’t be left in the dark, either, as the new content will be made available for a price tag of around £5/€5/$5, according to tweets from the official account:
@deckelmouck @TheOutsider_AMR That's correct. An Add-On will be available for existing copies of the game – also May 6.

@JoeMafia86 Exact date for the AMG GT3 will hopefully be announced next week. GOTY Add-On will be around £5/€5/$5.

As you may know, the Game of the Year Edition will bring several new additions over the original launch title:
- Additional 50 vehicles (taking the total to over 125)
- 4 new courses
- More than 60 liveries made by loyal community
- More than 500 improvements and features added since the game’s debut
- Full combined Nürburgring endurance course (Nordschleife + GP layout)
- Two new Pagani vehicles – the Zonda Revolucion and the Huayra BC. The latter premiered at 2016 Geneva Motor Show

The content will cost $5/£5/€5.I saw it on facebook
If anything deserves game of the year it is this. Certainly racing game of the year by a mile but was also pretty close to my overall GOTY. Only MGS 5 was better frankly, maybe fallout 4 but I’d put this above even Bloodborne and the very overrated game known as Witcher 3.
How fitting you said this on April 1st, as I had a bit of a laugh when I read it. To each their own though.
Is there somewhere we can see a list of these 50 new vehicles?
Yes, go over here – http://www.projectcarsgame.com/cars.html
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the entire car list. Cars in white were there when the game officially launched, cars in yellow are from the Limited Edition and the rest are the DLC cars.
So they basically want 5 Euros for a merger of two tracks that are already in the game. This should be free to owners of the normal version as a gift for keeping the game for so long after it had so many issues. Will just download the AMG.
Totally agree.
Pretty sure it said 4 new courses in the article, I could be wrong since my eyes are not as young as they used to be. Free why? Does SMS look like a charity? Just because you bought the game and it had problems that the developer continued to work on and fix, doesn’t mean you are entitled to anything free. Just as they took the risk and used millions to make the game, you took an even smaller risk of asking price, who made out like a bandit in this deal?
Had meant to reply here.
@SavageEvil For the 4 tracks, I’m pretty sure it’s the 4 locations added though the DLCs (Ruapana, Reims, Mojave and the Scottish track), or else I don’t know what they are talking about. I own 3 out of 4 and I don’t care about the last one.
Since there is Nurb GP and the Nordeschleife in the vanilla, it was already shocking that the full layout wasn’t included at any point since now. So now you’re telling me I have to pay 5€ to glue those two ? Really ? Because I don’t care (at all) about the Pagani or whatever hyper car is included either. (“On Demand” they said)
Of course they don’t HAVE to make it free (the 24h Nurb layout), for whatever reason, but they should have.
@David Talle, so that’s what they mean by 4 tracks. Either way I have the digital edition and only 1 of those tracks Audi Raupuna. $5 nets me 3 courses and all those cars I couldn’t be bothered to buy as I was lazy and was playing other games. This is a steal for those who didn’t get it over the course of the year.
Actually I’m not so sure the 5£/$/€ upgrade includes the DLC tracks, I understand that it adds the 24h Nurb layout and the two Pagani. I may be wrong but that’s how I interpret it.
Otherwise yes it would be a super deal for those who didn’t buy the content.
Cool, may trade in my existing copy if the price comes down sometime. I don’t do digital downloads, I like physical media.
That is if they release a disk-based version.
Disk version is pretty much granted at this point, just choose where you want to buy it.

This edition just includes all the dlc and updates released so far so if you’ve already bought all the dlc then for existings PCars owners you’re not getting that much for your $5. If you haven’t bought any dlc so far it looks like a bargain if the $5 contains all the dlc and not just the new additional for everyone content.
@Nato_777 I think you didn’t understand that tweet. He says that the final DLC (2 Paganis + Nurburgring) will cost $5, not the full collection of all DLCs.
Currently I don’t own any existing Project Cars dlc besides the free cars and liveries
