Project CARS Perfect Edition Arrives in Japan on June 9th

Slightly Mad Studios is preparing to set sail for Japan and deliver a special edition of Project CARS to local game enthusiasts. Dubbed Project CARS Perfect Edition, the game will serve as an equivalent of the North American and European Project CARS Game of the Year Edition.

Japanese players will receive the game with a full translation, and a special livery pack influenced by Bandai Namco’s popular Ridge Racer title. In addition, players pre-ordering the game from Amazon Japan or Joshin will gain access to exclusive desktop wallpapers. You can further investigate the upcoming title by visiting Project CARS website.

Project CARS Perfect Edition is scheduled to appear in Japan on June 9th, while North America and Europe will get their own version (the afore-mentioned GOTY edition) on May 6th. Stay tuned for fresh news and visit us on our Project CARS forum.

Does anybody know a better way to get criticized than putting “perfect” in your game title? I don’t. Good luck with that SMS.

Let’s hope for the best. One can only imagine how a Ridge Racer on PS4 and Xbox One could look like. *q*

That’d be nice, but then again there hasn’t been a good one since RRV and I doubt that’ll change anytime soon…

To release a “Perfect edition” first they should release a “Half-decent edition” worldwide. Seriously, that game is basically unplayable with a Dual Shock 4

I respectfully disagree. Out of the box the game is rather intimidating for controller players. However, spend enough time adjusting the available options and you will soon enough find yourself posting fast lap times and taking on higher difficulty AI.

      It’s a sim.

Question, would you get a flight sim and then say it’s not even “half decent” because it doesn’t play well with a keyboard?

Yes I’m with Deko. It’s perfectly Controllable on DS4. I regularly use it when I don’t have time to set my rig up.

      Start with these

      Set Input Mode to 3
Use the defaults that controller mode 3 gives you except for the following.

      Steering sensitivity between 5-20
      Speed sensitivity 70-75
      Filtering 50

For me once tweaked the DS4 gives a much better more authentic steering experience in Project Cars than the big helping hand the likes of Forza and Gran Turismo give controller players. Hope that helps someone.
