Do you think you have what it takes to beat some of the best sim racers in the world? If so, then the ADAC Sim Racing Trophy is just the place for you to prove it.
This year’s trophy is once again returning to the Sim Racing Expo.
Located on the grounds of the Nürburgring, this event is the biggest sim racing show on the planet. Taking place September 14–16, the Expo will showcase some of the latest and greatest from sim racing equipment.
While the products are something to look forward to, the real excitement is in the competition.
Forty of the fastest drivers from around the globe will compete head-to-head over the three-day event. Using iRacing, the drivers will battle it out on the Nurburgring GP course in GT3 class cars.
The best part is, the qualifying event is open to anyone, no matter what their skill level is. On June 9, a server will open up in iRacing. Once online, drivers have 10 days to set their quickest time. At the conclusion of the qualifying period on June 18, the top 40 drivers will get an invite to race for the Trophy.
Also returning this year is the ADAC Digital GT500 event.
Originally a real-life Blancpain GT Series race, the event went digital in 2017. Now teams of three sim-racers compete against one another in this virtual endurance race.
Qualification for this event is a little trickier though. For consideration, teams need to submit their application through the mail by May 4. However, preferential treatment is given to last year’s top three teams and the top 10 drivers from the VRS iRacing GT World Championship.
If real life racing is more your speed, the Expo also has several other events. The main attraction is the Blancpain GT Series Nurburgring race. However, there are also several R/C races along with slot cars to take in during the Expo.
If you’re interested in attending the ADAC Sim Racing Expo, you can get more details on its website. If traveling to Germany is out of the question you can catch most of the racing events online.
