I havent finished the seasonal yet, but that Panoz Esperante in the OCD has “buy me” written all over it. I’ve only seen this car 3 times since i had gt5, a rare gem and even better with 0/0/0. Gotta get it.

  2. Lococurling

I really like the Gt5 but I can’t understand the opponents behavior in these challenges. Why when we get closed on the corner exits the car ahead brakes? Why are always one or two cars alone to chase? This kind of race should be more realistic, cars trying to overtake each other including us, sharing corners, making mistakes. I think it’s very easy to turn this events more exciting.

  3. Tweetman_277

So, this has been a bunch of the toughest races I’ve set at in GT5 in ages! It’s been brilliant.
I decided on the Audi R10, stock obviously, and have been taking a good two or three attempts so far.

  4. Pharlap

This was a fun, challenging race. Using the Toyota GT One tuned to 720 got me Gold in all races. A few tries for each circuit due to 5 second penalties for touching the grass made it more of a challenge. Funny, but Tsukuba took me 4 tries…I thought it was going to be an easier race than the others.
As far as forced SRF…get over it…it’s a game after all. There are plenty of tracks/races where you can set your own limits based on each individuals driving style/experience. Take a look at the Open Lobby…plenty of “No Aids allowed” racing.
After 2 years of GT5 I still enjoy it and have met some really good drivers.

  5. Spannermonkey33

I won using a stock 908, won a 905. Tsukuba was a fun race in the 908, can be a bit tail happy if you’re not careful ;)

  6. Patronn422

I won no problem, used the toyota Minolta 88c-v race car with high range turbo. i got the 2j race car as a reward so the 20 mill i had saved to buy that car will be spent on ,ore drift cars yay, i gatta say today was a good day.

  7. Brunskill777

Nice looking seasonal, added difficulty with penalties. But please, for crying out loud can people stop complaining about forced SRF. I’m afraid it’s on, get on with it.

  8. HarVee

Jeez, I hate the penalty system in GT5. The penalty system punishes the “clean” drivers more than it does the dirty ones.

  9. DynamikGT

I used the 908 HDi. No tune, just a mid range turbo. Makes for an interesting event…and frustrating at the same time. Every race it came to passing the rabbit on the last few corners.
Best advice I can give is drive the wheels off the 908. It can be a bit tricky until the Tyres warm up, but as long as you’re consistent and avoid penalties you’ll be ok.
Le Mans was frustrating. You need to be faultless-no penalty, no spins no anything. Use the opponents draft on the straights, and you should catch the rabbit in the run into the last chicane.

    1. Spannermonkey33

Le Mans pissed me off! I thought it would be one of the easier races to win, how wrong I was.

    2. I roll engineer

Also used the 908, bone stock. Lacked a bit of power on the straights compared to the leading Nissan but overall a much quicker car.
Good fun to use real racing cars on real circuits. If only the AI would drive like a real driver…

  10. Cote Dazur

Having the SRF option forced on us in the seasonnal is annoying, but not giving us a clear explaination of why it is forced, that is insulting.

    1. Esgaloth

Agreed, wtf is up with the SRF in this event? I jumped on the first one in the 5 races to try it out and quit before I started because the biggest noob tool was turned on. lol back to iRacing Time Trials i guess

  11. Logoncal21

if you guys don’t like the forced SRF thing
go play some other gran turismo games like me
tryin to get all gold on GT2

    1. DrKronin

It adds that much grip, but in a completely different, arcadey, sim-killing way. Every seasonal PD releases that forces this “option” on everyone damages GT5’s credibility as a sim.

    2. hyyperactive

Even normally sports softs are too fast. It is just not even worth playing these when srf is forced on. Why are pd so stupid? How the hell even wants srf forced on?!

  12. Serjury

Forced SRF? No thanks…. what is PD thinking? They want to tout Gran Turismo as some great simulator and then force you to play on Cruisin’ USA mode…

  13. RocknSoul

Hello I see all the posting blasting SRF I to belive that it should be an option. That being said I enjoy the Seasonal Event since they have gone to the expert (pro) level. I find the challange of NOT being able to win all of the Events all the time provide me with “practice sessions” and get point to buy more cars.

  14. lemans2005

I will not complain Seasonal event anymore, because they are not for fun or challenge (except Time Attack and drift), they are only use for making cash.

    1. SCER

It being unintended doesn’t suddenly make it legal.

I’m pretty sure that Pastor Maldonado doesn’t intend to hit all the cars he does.

    2. StiggyGT

Pastor Maldonado… Now he’s something else. Last season he was called “dangerous” by Lewis Hamilton. That’s a funny comment to make.

    3. krasch27

Schumacher is the best driver of all time…FACT..and he never drove either of the Ferrari F1 cars featured in the game either. Keep your slanderous meaningless retarded opinions to yourself, infamousphool.

    4. 27897453740095

      LOL @ krasch27

Nice joke you wrote there mate :) Of course he’s not the best of all time. There are many drivers better than him, even in the F1 only. He just had an astonishing car… and Rubens by his side ;) He achieved nothing, as a matter of fact, during his 3 years in Mercedes. One 3rd place? Doesn’t look like the best of all time. But he could probably take the infamous title of the dirtiest (and hence most dangerous like infamousphil said) driver of all time.

Also, offending other users won’t add any significance to your words.

    1. DrKronin

HarVee, while you are correct, your use of “GTFO,” which is an acronym containing a word that violates the ToS for GTPlanet, is also “illegal.” Lighten up. :)

    2. Esgaloth

regardless of whether he used GTFO or not, its true. This hacked car crap has become quite annoying. Im stuck to lounges now because of it. I mean the CIVICS are pretty funny, but still :/

  15. JeremiahTB

How long has SRF been forced on? It’s been a while, so get used to it. If it’s really that difficult to race with it, think of it as an added challenge. Personally, I can adjust my racing style to make the car act like it’s not there. I never hear the people who use it complain when it’s locked off. Personally, I stopped using it during online races a long time ago and I do think it should be optional, but I guess it’s here to stay, so it is what it is. With all the other details that should be changed in GT5, this one is a few down my list.

    1. JohnScoonsBeard

It’s not that SRF is more difficult, it’s easier. That’s why some people want to be able to turn it off as it is an artificial aid (and completely unrealistic)

    2. Both Barrels

Even worse, it’s only easier if you’re USED to it. It turns one of my favorite cars into a snap-loose monster.

    1. JeremiahTB

I’m pretty sure it is playable. “The car has four wheels and a seat, drive it and quit complaining.” – quote from a famous NASCAR

  16. Passeyfier

That Photo! Wow! Realistic much! Haven’t played this batch of seasonals yet, but the forced SRF is putting me off a little.

  17. AngelPlayStar

SRF Forced ON : FAIL! … I think we have to change the way to speak with PD … because no one looks like hear our voice … maybe we could open an official forum section where they can check selected info controlled by GTP, to improve GranTurismo.

  18. MGTTTTT

This seasonal really makes you notice the bad AI. the cars you start behind in 12th position are just annoying road blocks. And once you fight your way past them there are only 2 laps left to catch the leaders which are roughly the same power as the car that you need to win the race.

For GT6 please just throw out this useless AI code .

I found these seasonals irritating. If I worked for PD I would be embarrassed of this seasonal and I do actually wonder If any of the senior management or anybody for that matter has playtested these races.

Yes it is that bad!!!! .

    1. Roxa_p

I agree AI in GT5 sucks completely. Braking when you want to pass them and driving slow where its impossible to pass so you lose outcomming speed to overtake them. They should put a difficulty level in the game like easy, hard and PRO

    2. giorgios

I fully agree. I’m not the kind of person complaining all the time,in fact it’s the first time I do, but these might be the worst seasonal events ever. What were they thinking?

  19. RESHIRAM5

Just did Motegi and all I can say is, easiest seasonal ever.

Also, to make it more Noob friendly it is possible to use the Formula Gran Turismo in this.

  20. RESHIRAM5

Are you sure it is 750pp because I thought it is an expert difficulty? Oh well, can’t wait to try this, looks great.

  21. shepzki

Sweet, finally they use DLC tracks we paid for and I can use my Stealth cars too. Good job, no complaining from me this time.

    1. shepzki

No I know, I was referring to the lack of them in Seasonal events which, given that a lot of people paid for them seems a bit silly.

  22. Leonidae@MFT

[SARCASM]Yay, more easy money! I hope that all aids are forced on too that I can floor the throttle without worries![/SARCASM]

  23. golding23

Did Tsukuba in the 2J, won it easily, lapped the last 2 entrants on the last lap. Mine is fully tuned 679pp. I only got 170% bonus but still took in over $1.2million for the event with the lowest prize total.

Level 23 ticket is a sweet prize.

    1. Rionmoon

Whatever! I won in a 660pp Zonda C12 with comfort soft tires. Easy peasy. I wish PD would stop making these simple races. Ok so before the REST of they lying starts I’m kind of tired of either over simple races where it only takes a little effort and skill to win or ANOTHER race (this one) where you have to chase down rabbits while starting at the absolute back of the pack. That’s not fun, thats aggravating. If they are going to keep putting rabbits in the race then at least let me do a qualifying run to try and sit somewhere on the starting grid then dead last.

    2. SZRT Ice

Tired of these “Chase the rabbit” complaints. Face it, the A.I. sucks. PD knows it, we know it. They’re likely working on all improvements for Spec III or GT6. Whichever comes first. They know our issues, so just be patient and wait for it.
