Last month Codemasters officially announced F1 2017. The major takeaway for this year’s game is classic F1 machines will be returning to the franchise after a four year hiatus.
That news continues today with the 2010 Red Bull Racing RB6 joining the roster as the fourth classic machine available to players later this summer. Known to fans of the sport as the beginning of Red Bull’s four year dominance, the RB6 was driven to victory by the team of Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel.
Known as “Luscious Liz” and “Randy Mandy” in the hands of Vettel, the RB6 was the very definition of a dominant chassis. Going on to claim 15 pole positions, nine race victories, and six fastest lap records across the 2010 season — much to the chagrin of the competing teams.

As previously revealed, the classic roster will also include the 2002 Ferrari F2002, 1992 Williams FW14B, and the 1988 McLaren MP4/4. The latter classic will be a pre-order bonus, as well as part of the “Day One” edition of F1 2017.
Those looking to nab the legendary McLaren at a later date will have their opportunity as Codemasters has confirmed the chassis will be available post-release.
F1 2017 releases on the weekend of the Belgian Grand Prix, August 25. It will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
