A month after Psyonix’s announcement that NASCAR and F1 would be coming to Rocket League, we’ve got details on a launch date, price, and contents.
Officially known as the NASCAR 2021 Fan Pack, the DLC will arrive later this week, on May 6 and contain a host of vehicles and cosmetic items that should satisfy the sport’s fans.
In total there’s three base vehicles in the pack, just as with the real-world series, with Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, and Toyota Camry NASCAR vehicle models. Each has a base white livery and an additional “NASCAR x RL” black decal, plus a number of liveries appropriate to different teams and drivers.
The Camaro comes with four alternate designs, wearing the colors of the Chip Ganassi, Richard Childress, Hendrick, and Richard Petty teams. There’s Roush Fenway, Stewart-Haas, and Team Penske decals for the Mustang, while the Camry comes in Joe Gibbs and 23XI liveries. Each car also comes with a player profile banner, and there’s a special free NASCAR Trail customization item for all players.
You’ll also get access to the Goodyear Racing Wheels, although they’re limited to the NASCAR models, and the NASCAR machines themselves also have limited scope for player customization.
The NASCAR 2021 Fan Pack will become available on May 6 and only stick around until May 12, so you’ll need to be quick if you want to pick it up — although Psyonix promises it will be available again to “celebrate major NASCAR events throughout the year”. You can buy it through the in-game Item Store for 2000 credits — roughly equivalent to $20.
