Last we spoke, Marco Massarutto gave a rough outline of the content players could look forward to getting their hands on in Assetto Corsa this year. With over a dozen cars already planned for release within the first half of 2017, players may have missed the word of a new circuit coming to the racer.
With Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca taking more time than originally anticipated, Kunos intends to keep players occupied with the “ideal” racing circuit in the meantime. Built from the ground up with community feedback in mind, the yet-to-be-named circuit will be situated in Scotland, and will be available to all as free bonus content.
Created in partnership with Nvidia and Sparco, the circuit will be available in 4 different layouts, each catering to a particular audience. Whether your preference be a makeshift circuit within the confines of a crowded city, a technical outing for endurance racing, or a series of twists and turns designed for letting the rear of the car loose in spectacular fashion, the upcoming Scottish locale will have it all.
While not much is currently known on the upcoming addition, Kunos promises to share more information when the time is right. With a targeted release window within the first quarter of the year, players may not be waiting for very long.
As always, stay tuned to GTPlanet for more on the upcoming track as it becomes available.
Assetto Corsa is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
