Sector3 Studios continues to bring new content to RaceRoom Racing Experience in the form of another racing circuit. Sepang International Circuit is the latest track to join the game, alongside several existing Grand Prix venues.
F1 fans are likely to feel right at home on the 3.44-mile circuit designed by Hermann Tilke. Developed in part thanks to the studios relationship with the German designer, this could be one of the game’s most detailed releases yet.
Inaugurated by the Malaysian Prime Minister in its debut season in 1999, the circuit paved the way for further events in the Far East. It’s a bittersweet pill to swallow for fans as this year’s Grand Prix will be its last due to dwindling ticket sales. Available today, the circuit joins the game in time for this weekend’s race — talk about perfect timing.
Earlier this month the studio brought the iconic Imola circuit to the racer. The renowned circuit is forever linked to Ayrton Senna’s death during the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994.
Of course, this isn’t the last we’ll hear from Sector3 this year. The Swedish studio has already laid out plans to introduce Porsche to the racer — the first three of which are set to arrive before year’s end.
For those looking to continue open-wheel racing on the circuit, we’d recommend the X17. A wild take on a modern F1 machine, the X17 has plenty of get-up courtesy of its 3.0-liter V10 making 950 horsepower.
