The Kunos Simulazioni team is back with more teases for Assetto Corsa Competizione. After last week’s peek at Brands Hatch, we’re back in the UK with the Home of British Motor Racing: Silverstone.
Just like Brands, Silverstone already appeared in the original Assetto Corsa. It gets a visual update for Competizione however, with the same dynamic time and weather as the rest of the courses in the title. This comes courtesy of the move to Unreal Engine 4.
As a staple of modern sim racing, Silverstone should be familiar to a good portion of our readers. The 3.66-mile circuit has been in use for motorsports for 70 years, with its most recent layout completed in 2011.
The two British circuits will Spa-Francorchamps and Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya in the full release of Assetto Corsa Competizione, set for May 29. At launch the title will feature the entire 2018 Blancpain GT Series lineup of cars, tracks, and drivers. A post-launch update at some point this summer will introduce the 2019 season at no additional cost.
Stay tuned for more on ACC as its exit from Steam Early Access draws ever closer. That includes what we imagine will be more teasers for those refreshed returning tracks…
