Thrustmaster and Sparco have announced a new partnership between the two brands. The agreement will see Thrustmaster supplying licensed Sparco products to complement its own game controllers.
The deal brings together one of the best-known names in simulation equipment with a world-famous manufacturer of real world racing gear.
Thrustmaster has been in the gaming industry since 1993. It’s a company well known for its steering wheels, which include the new T-GT it unveiled at E3 this week. Previously its T500 RS model was the official wheel of Gran Turismo 6.
Racing fans will know Sparco, which has been making its own wheels for motorsport for 40 years. It’s one of the biggest suppliers of wheels, clothes, gloves and shoes to racing drivers and teams in the business. It has also released gaming products recently, with a range of seats, rigs and accessories.
A cooperation between the two companies seems like a natural fit. The new agreement allows Thrustmaster to create and sell its own official Sparco products. This would result in a one-stop solution for high quality simulation racing rigs.
Gilles Raulet, development director of Thrustmaster, comments: “Thanks to this partnership, the leaders in both the real and virtual racing worlds are pooling our expertise to offer e-racers the most lifelike experience ever.”
Davide Brivio, Sparco’s gaming program manager, adds: “Thrustmaster’s officially-licensed Sparco products will offer the gaming community new top racing gear replicating our competition and rally model and spirit.”
Our friends over at InsideSimRacing had a first look at the wheel earlier this week, which you can check out below:
