After an extended beta test, mobile karting sim Street Kart Racing is now available on all iOS devices.
We last talked about the Nico Rosberg-backed title last month. The pertinent details remain the same: developer Fat Cigar Productions has worked with real pro karters Dexter Patterson and Marijn Kremers to deliver what it calls a “the most competitive, authentic racing experience on mobile.”
Patterson and Kremers, as well as Rosberg, show up in the game’s Career Mode. Here players will start in 50mph Cadet karts, with the pros coaching them up through multiple classes. Along the way, players will be able to upgrade their cars and alter setups to fight for victory.
Need to learn the ropes? The Rosberg Racing Academy is available to teach players how to get the most out of the karts.
There are 15 real-world tracks to master, with dynamic weather to boot. This weather reflects what’s going on at the real location: if it’s raining at Wackersdorf in Germany, it’s raining in SKR.
Being a mobile title, there’s also a multiplayer aspect. In addition to six-kart PVP racing, there are weekly championships. Players will earn points and move up (or down) to different divisions.
Street Kart Racing is now available in the Apple App Store, priced at $4.99.
