Players logging into GT Sport today will find the game greets them with a maintenance notice.
This is outside of the usual maintenance schedule, and is due to occur at 0400-0600 UTC on March 12. The notice also contains information that an update will follow the downtime.
At the following time, we will perform maintenance on the ‘Gran Turismo Sport’ servers.
A new game update will also be available after the maintenance. Please note that during this time the online services, including [Sport Mode], will not be available.
[Day & Time]
12 March, 2018, 04:00 – 06:00 UTC
12 March, 2018, 04:00 – 06:00 GMT* The above time is subject to change.
Coming so soon after a content update in February, it’s unlikely that this will include any cars or tracks. Instead it’s probable that the update — likely called v1.14 — will simply be a patch for minor game issues. It may also contain tweaks to Balance of Performance (BOP) calculations, ahead of the scheduled start of the FIA events in April.
As always, players should manually save their games well in advance of the maintenance window. You will not be able to connect to GT Sport’s online save function during the maintenance, nor afterwards until you have quit the game to install the update.
