McLaren Shadow has announced two new additions to its 2018 F1 Esports squad. While they’re new to the team — itself only a few weeks old — they’re both veterans of the sim racing world.
The very first F1 Esport draft happened earlier this week in London. Nine teams took part, choosing from a crop of 40. Less than half made the cut, and they’ll be facing off for their share of the $200,000 prize pot over the next few months.
In an announcement that should surprise few, the second season of the F1 Esports Championship will utilize the next installment in Codemasters’ gaming series.
