Exactly 55 years after the original car was revealed at the Turin Motor Show, Bertone has announced that its pretty Runabout concept car will be reborn as a modern vehicle destined for production in 2026.
Kazunori Yamauchi has joined the motor industry voices paying tribute to automotive designer Marcello Gandini, following the Italian’s death this week, remarking that “Gran Turismo would never have been born” without him.
Back in 2015, the Italian design firm Bertone took the wraps off its Vision GT project. Radical didn’t even begin to describe the out-of-this-world concept. But sadly, we never got the chance to see the car outside of some renderings.
The first images of Bertone’s Vision GT car have apparently been leaked, hitting the web thanks to a car design Facebook page. The renderings show what would be the most radical, over-the-top Vision GT projects to date, giving GM’s Chaparral 2X a run for its money.
