Goodwood Hill Climb

The latest update for Gran Turismo 6, version 1.20, has just gone live, and brings with it an update to the Goodwood Hill Climb course and one of the more hotly anticipated Vision GT cars: the radical SRT Tomahawk.

This is a special post written by Adam Suswillo, GTPlanet member and 2013 GT Academy European Racecamp runner-up. We invited Adam to put together a brief recount of his trip to this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed as his prize for winning the Aston Martin online time trial in GT6.

A special Aston Martin Seasonal Event is now open in GT6 to players with SEN/PSN accounts registered in the United Kingdom. It celebrates the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and takes place with a time trial on Goodwood’s famous hillclimb circuit (which is about to get an update in GT6).

Britain’s famous Goodwood Festival of Speed is featured prominently in Gran Turismo 6, and the game was a fixture at last year’s show.

Kazunori Yamauchi hosted a Gran Turismo 6 info session at Gamescom 2013, the full contents of which have been posted to YouTube by MundoGT.es.

In addition to their gameplay session with Lucas Ordoñez, the UK’s Telegraph spent some time walking around the Goodwood Hillclimb course, taking photographs from the exact locations seen in the GT6 Goodwood screenshot pack released last week.

As part of their Goodwood Festival of Speed coverage this weekend, The Telegraph has put together a short video showcasing the Gran Turismo 6 demo on display at the Nissan booth.

Gameplay videos of Gran Turismo 6’s newest confirmed circuit, the Goodwood Hill Climb, have finally been released – one of which is a directly-captured video from Polyphony Digital themselves!

The official UK Gran Turismo website has announced the Goodwood Hill Climb will be featured in Gran Turismo 6.
