Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know this is a big weekend for the world of motorsports, as the 24 Hours of Le Mans kicks off on Saturday. To help celebrate the event, Polyphony Digital has added two special new Quick Match race events to Gran Turismo 6, which feature both the old and new versions of Circuit de la Sarthe.
Polyphony Digital has announced in advance an upcoming one-make race to be featured in GT6’s Quick Match events, which will feature the Renault Mégane Trophy at the Nurburgring GP/F circuit.
Polyphony Digital has announced some changes are coming to Gran Turismo 6 “Quick Match” events, with re-organized categories and performance adjustments.
Another round of “Quick Match” online racing events are now available in GT6 featuring compact Japanese Kei cars taking wind around Silverstone, rally cars taking on the many sweeping turns of Cape Ring, and sports and race cars taking on some of GT’s classic attractions.
A new batch of A-Spec races are now available, ranging from seasonal challenges where you’ll overtake as many opponents as possible within the allotted time, to the new “quick match” events that places you against other players from around the world.
The new “Quick Match” online races which were brought to Gran Turismo 6 in update version 1.12 have been live for a few weeks now, and appear to be rotated on a weekly schedule similar to Seasonal Events, with new races becoming available late Tuesday / early Wednesday.
