Early last month McLaren-Honda revealed its entry into the world of esports, known as World’s Fastest Gamer. Partnered with peripheral manufacturer Logitech, WFG aims to help the F1 team find the ten fastest gamers in the world.
McLaren-Honda’s World Fastest Gamer competition will begin at the Silverstone Grand Prix this July. The British manufacturer will host an inaugural rFactor 2 tournament to kick off the four-event-long program.
You’d have been forgiven for thinking that last month’s announcement of a partnership between Logitech and McLaren-Honda would amount to little more than a name on a car.
The first race of the 2017 Formula One season is done and dusted (check out the results here). McLaren-Honda used the season opener as an opportunity to announce its latest partnership, with a name that should be immediately recognizable to sim racers.
