Our Double-Double-Header Online Special Event and Time Trials over the past 2 weeks have been such a hit, we’ve decided to go back for more! As self-isolation continues, it’s more important than ever to find fun things to do and different ways of having social interaction.

Unprecedented times mean unprecedented measures. The world is now attempting to practice “self-isolation” — keeping away from other people in order to protect each other from infection.

Racing in the real world might be getting canceled left, right and center, but the virtual world carries on unabated.

Following a road car combo in BMW’s latest addition to GT Sport, the Weekly Race Series (WRS) is featuring back to back BMWs, with the Z4 GT3 at an Original Circuit.

Following a long hiatus, GTPlanet’s Weekly Race Series (WRS) will resume hosting Online Races, beginning this week. The races, using GT Sport, are modeled after our weekly time trial events, with multiple time slots to account for varying time zones of our members.

On Sunday, October 28, GTPlanet’s Weekly Race Series Online Events will host a special event on Fuji Speedway, featuring the Toyota Supra Racing Concept Gr. 3 and Toyota 86 Gr. 4.

GTPlanet’s longest running organized Time Trial series has transitioned to Gran Turismo Sport. Our latest event, “El Toro“, features the Red Bull Jr. at Nürburgring GP.

GTPlanet’s Weekly Race Series Time Trials are celebrating our 15 year anniversary! On this date in 2003, the first Weekly Race Series Time Trial was posted on the GTPlanet forums. We’re proud to carry on the tradition of those humble beginnings, as we feature weekly Time Trial Events for our registry members to participate in at their leisure.

Last month, the Weekly Race Series organizers wrapped the successful GT300 Triple Mix Championship’s first bracket. Founded on the idea that every racer would have to drive each of the three available cars over the three race weekends, the response was so positive that the concept has been extended to cover a further two brackets.

Earlier this year beginning in February, our team of Weekly Race Series racers developed a new event, known as the Triple Mix. The backbone of the series was the freedom in picking the car you wanted to tour around the events, and participants would have that option: the GT300 versions of the Impreza, IS350, and RX-7 would be available over the course of the championship.

Way back in February, our Weekly Race Series team proposed a new event, known as the Triple Mix. Instead of picking one car to run a series in, participants would get to drive all three of the available rides — the GT300 versions of the Impreza, IS350, and RX-7 — over the course of the championship. Unfortunately, network issues in Gran Turismo 6 sidelined the competition for half the year. The Triple Mix lives on though, and the first race will take place August 27.

The Forza Racing Championship kicked off earlier this week with the 2015 Mustang GT as the first featured car. In the Elite Series, players were challenged to take their pony car around the turns of Monza in a dedicated Rivals event.

With E3 kicking off this week, and GT Sport events already taking place in London, Nürburg, and Tokyo, fans of the franchise are itching to get a chance for a test drive before the game arrives on PS4 in mid-November. Recently published news on the official website could really turn the heat up among photo enthusiasts of the popular driving simulator Project CARS. In order to celebrate the launch of the new Playseat Project CARS gaming seat Slightly Mad Studios decided to collaborate with Playseat once more and host a photo competition for all Project CARS game owners willing to test their snap-shooting skills. More importantly, the contest will involve none other than the American machines recently released as a part of the US Car Race Pack.

Have you ever entered a racing series, only to lament your initial car selection? Sure, Car X looked so appealing during pre-season testing, but a few races in, you had eyes only for Car Y.
