Has it been 12 months already? Project CARS launched 365 days ago on May 7, 2015 (that crafty leap-year). To call the current version a vastly different beast than the launch title is to be putting it mildly. While many will recall various issues with the title over the past year, what can’t be argued is Slightly Mad Studios’ continued support of the game. Wrapping that all up in a neat package is the Game of the Year Edition, available as of today for PS4, XB1, and PC.
As revealed late last week, the sonorous Mercedes-AMG GT3 joins Project CARS, further expanding the title’s impressive list of GT3 class racing machinery, and is available to everyone at no additional cost.

With new DLC incoming, it was only a matter of time before Slightly Mad Studio’s Project CARS received another nip and tuck. As with the previous update, the new 9.0 patch for the title is aimed at PC copies of the driving simulator first. Among other things, the patch recalls several vehicles for a few technical adjustments, of which we highlight the one that focuses on the recent Ford Falcon V8 Supercar and its exhaust sound. Slightly Mad Studios continues their monthly support for Project CARS with the latest major update now available to PC owners, this time leaving PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners looking toward what’s to come.
Update: The update is now available for Xbox One users and weighs in at 2.3GB and brings the following changes specifically to the Xbox One, in addition to those shared across all the platforms.
