Developer Genki has confirmed on social media that the highly anticipated new entry in the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series will exit Early Access and become a full launch title on September 25.

After a little lull across spring, publisher and developer Genki is back with another update for Tokyo Xtreme Racer’s pre-release version.

Development on the first Tokyo Xtreme Racer title in two decades appears to be moving very quickly, as the name-rebooted game will enter Early Access on Steam later this month ahead of a launch in the spring.

After more than 20 years on the bench, classic arcade driving game Tokyo Xtreme Racer is slated for one of the unlikeliest comebacks as developer Genki has announced a new title for 2025.
